The staff were 12/10! It’s rare nowadays to find everyone happy, smiley and so accommodating; from baking extra croissants for my daughter, finding keys for windows. Very dog friendly hotel they clearly loved dogs, bed was comfortable. Obviously the location is great.
Room was hot, but it’s a crazy heat wave and they did their best to accommodate us.
Location,view, friendly staff, good breakfast
Houskeepers completly forgot to hoover our room 206 loads of dirt, hair and rubbish left on the floor everywhere but we had to wait to check in already so couldn’t wait any longer
Reception was amazing
The hotel was in a poor shape sofas were dirty and ripped, paint falling off the walls windows in my room didn’t open, only stayed for half an hour and checked out and went to another hotel down the road which was amazing for the same price, I have asked for a refund, but no joy, so needless to say I will not be going there again and NOT be recommending to anyone, the pool looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while, they need to close it down and start again 😡😡😡😡
Friendly staff spacious rooms fab views
Breakfast - very good
Car park, although free was very risky around the Hotel building
Locatie en geschiedenis.
Mooie spa en ruime kamers
Badkamer verouderd.
Weinig parkeerruimte. Snel vol en plekjes zeer krap
The view from our room was amazing, it was so lovely, we really didn’t want to leave
The new owners I’m sure have a vision, we are looking forward to seeing how this progresses in the years to come
The staff was very helpful. The bistro restaurant food was very nice. Breakfast was very nice, and the staff in the dining room was very nice
The bar prices were very high. The shower and bath wasn't very clean. The bedrooms are very dated
Choice of items was good
Self service was not what I expected considering the class of hotel I stayed in
The views
Limited breakfast choice
No room service unless asked for
Lift out of action for 1 day & a half (we were on top floor& in our mid 70's
In general hotel disappointed compared to 2 years ago....4 star status should be 3 star
Lage an der Klippe traumhaft. War einmal ein nobles Hotel aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Freundliches Personal.
The overall feeling of decadence when you enter the reception is amazing - I immediately thought of the Poirot films with the black & cream decor, chandeliers etc. It’s a beautiful building with high ceilings and a lovely big room with an amazing sea view.
Sadly it needs a lot of work to bring the property up to scratch. When you actually sit and look closely, the decor is in desperate need of renewal. In our room, the window frames were rotten and covered with black mould and we could only safely open one of the two windows because, on one of them, the top hinge was rotten and had come away from the wall, so the window fell away on opening. Plus, because of the seagulls, we could not leave the window open when we weren’t there which, having such high temperatures at the time, made it stiflingly hot in the room (we were so grateful for the fan that was in the room). The lounge bar was always closed and some type of evening entertainment would be nice.
