Toll gelegenes Hotel in historischem Gebäude
Pros:

Nettes Hotel direkt am Fjord, schön renoviertes altes Gebäude. Gutes Frühstück, Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel.
Toller Blick auf den Fjord sowohl vom Zimmer als auch vom Restaurant aus.

Cons:

Bei uns war ein drittes Bett im Zimmer, somit eines zu viel. Das nahm Platz weg. Es war nur ein Stuhl im Zimmer, die zweite Person musste sich aufs Bett setzen / legen. Zimmer war etwas hellhörig (man hörte deutlich das Schnarchen im Zimmer nebenan). Hinter dem Haus (beim Hintereingang) lag Müll verstreut rum (auch am 2. Tag).

Historical building next to water
Pros:

Interesting historical building, lower floor rooms with balcony at water level, large rooms, restaurant serving good dinner.

Cons:

Dull breakfast and dull amenities, no shampo or body lotion in bathroom, no coffee machine, a bit disappointing when you pay 4400 Euro or more for a room

Stunning views with a French flavour
Pros:

This was the third of of five Fosshotel's that we stayed in during our visit to Iceland. The hotel is situated in an area influenced by early French settlers. The property is split across three properties, with reception (and museum) across the road from the two accommodation and meal areas. The manager in charge of dinner was excellent and attentive to our needs. The menu and wines at night are French influenced. It is advisable to book for dinner. Request a room with a view of the fjord and wake to an absolutely glorious view (weather permitting). The dinner menu across the Fosshotel's is fairly consistent - lamb, chicken, fish with a few other options. Breakfast in the morning is a buffet and suffered slightly due to space constraints - understand the peak times and avoid the rush.

La vista sul fiordo.

Cons:

Hotel diviso in edifici diversi privi di informazione. Reception spesso assente. Accoglienza priva di cortesia e rigida su orari di checkin e ristorante. Camera e bagno piccoli e modesti malgrado un costo Superior. Lenzuola letto grossolane. Assenza caffettiera con capsule.

A beautiful and relaxing stay with plenty of space in our room for three. Great restaurant with waterfront views. Loved the hike to the waterfall near town. Beautiful!

Not many other food options around the small town if you are staying multiple nights.
