Friendly, efficient staff, good location

Sauna, hot tub, workout room, great front desk staff and cute rooms and we loved the shared balcony as we were able to determine the level of cloudiness without leaving our room....no northern light sightings for us unfortunately. I think there are probably a lot of great locations to stay in Reykjavik, and this was certainly one of them.

Always friendly, helpful and informed personnel who spoke great English. Comfy room, very quiet. We noticed and selected a package from the hotel's website, granting us access to the hot tub and free buffet breakfast every day. The hot tob was geothermally hot water but, as we learned is typical in Iceland, no jets. Just a relaxing "hot pot!" Did not try the sauna, but it was popular with other guests. Towels supplied. Breakfast offerings catered to international clientele, and I liked the porritch with a variety of add-ins. Fresh cut fruit available every day! Several varieties of coffee and tea readily refillable. Workers in breakfast room very efficient and professional. Fridge and safe in room, with coffee machine. Bathroom great with no problems and fine water pressure. We chose a 4th floor room to have access to the exterior wrap-around balcony, which was GREAT. Starbucks to one side of lobby, full service restaurant to the other. Great location for shopping stroll, and very near to bus stop # 9 for many tour pickups. Would happily stay again.

My partner and I stayed here over the Valentines weekend recently and we really loved the hotel. The hotel has a great central location to everything that you need i.e. bus stop for trips is at the end of the street, and so close to shops and restaurants, and also the harbour.

The hotel was clean, perhaps we would have liked a touch cleaner, but the beds were always clean which is the main thing. The rooms were on the small side, but to us this wasn’t important as we didn’t spend much time in them as we were out all day and in the evenings. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful when we asked questions.

We also really enjoyed the fresh breakfast, just what we needed before a tiring and busy day ahead!

You also get provided a cell phone upon your stay to help with booking reservations etc, which is very thoughtful from the hotel and a great additions service.

We will definitely be back to Iceland in the future and will most definitely be picking this hotel to stay in again!

Tornato una seconda volta dopo dopo un tour di qualche giorno mi è stata data una camera molto bella e grande(dovevo averla anche al primo soggiorno) e invece mi hanno assegnato una camera imbarazzante

レイキャビクの市街地で、ロケーションがよくだいたいの場所が徒歩圏内だった。宿はとても清潔で居心地はとてもよかったです。スタバがホテルから一歩も出ないで行けることもよかったです。1階に飲料水が無料で汲める場所があったのもよかったです。

We highly recommend this hotel. The location is excellent for many bars and restaurants and it is easy walking distance to the bus stops where tours pick up and drop off. We stayed in room 125 up a few steps but there is a platform lift. There is a lift in the main hotel.
The room was an adequate size, well cleaned daily but did not have much storage however we are happy to live out of a suitcase for a short break. The bathroom was a good size with locitane toiletries and an amazing shower.
The doors were heavy and metal so could be noisy at night.
The selection at breakfast was really good. I enjoyed the health juice shot, skyr yogurt with granola and the fresh bread. But there is something for everyone.
They have a water cooler which was lovely and meant we didnt have to buy plastic bottled drink everyday. We love environmentally friendly ideas.
The room also had a coffee pod machine which we enjoyed to warm us up. However there is also a Starbucks if you need more coffee.
Finally all of the staff were friendly and helpful and made the Alda a great place to stay

A really cozy hotel in the heart of the downtown area. Lovely helpful staff, good rooms and great breakfast.

Hotel felt safe, modern and offered a small gym and hot tub.
