Brilliant
Pros:

Just brilliant from the minute we arrived , despite a busy check in it was very efficient and done in a very welcoming way. Great touch of issuing each room with a mobile phone with unlimited data for use during your stay , you can even hot spot from it !
Rooms are lovely , great location for access to everything , breakfast was fab with lots of choice. Great hotel for our visit to Reykjavik

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great vibe and helpful staff
Pros:

The staff was very helpful and considerate. The breakfast was great.

Cons:

We had three different rooms at the same rate, but my room was quite a bit smaller and a lot darker.

Nice central hotel
Pros:

Very nice hotel, centrally located in town. We were able to walk to everything, bus stop number 9 is two blocks walk. Only 15 min walk to BSI. Staff was very friendly. Wish the lobby had more places to sit when we were waiting for check in or bringing food back to eat some nights but that is very minor. Gym/sauna/hot tub area was small, but it was rarely occupied and we were able to use it with no issues. There is Starbucks and restaurant attached to hotel as well

Great location
Pros:

The hotel is in a great location as a base to see the entire city. It was also really close to the pick up/drop off point for tours.
We stayed in a King room and it was very small with a lack of storage space but it did the job for us and that aside, we would stay there again
Breakfast options were very good and the staff were incredibly attentive.
I have to recognise Ainars in the bar - he was the single best member of staff we met. He always was quick and attentive and a real asset to the hotel.
We hope to return again one day.

Boutique gem in the heart of the city
Pros:

We stayed at the Alda for 5 nights and were impressed by the friendly, helpful staff, especially Violeta and the front desk staff. Excellent service and problem solving (eg:boiler room use for wet clothing, kettle and cutlery use). Generous and healthy breakfast options, wonderful sauna and still hot tub, great local recommendations from staff and super proximity to tour and airport pickups. Highly recommended.

Lovely central hotel - perfect base for Reyjavik
Pros:

Stayed here for 3 nights in February. All staff friendly and helpful. Great location - central to most places. Close to the big cathedral and rainbow street. Starbucks based downstairs as part of hotel. Plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants on the same road.

Room was nice and clean. Good storage and accommodated family of 4. Breakfast - good choice of salad, pastries, fruit and hot breakfast buffet.

Recommend this hotel if you are thinking about it and unsure.
