Marathon Beach Resort

Simple, clean, great pool, good continental breakfast. Great walkable location near the beach and restaurants. Small elevator - like most boutique hotels in Europe- but should be prepared to take baggage up stairway. Had trouble with mosquitoes in our room early October- left the sliding door vented for air overnight- wrong move. Would definitely stay there again- good for the price.

Breakfast was basic but plentiful.

This property has been around for a long time. It shows its age, but is well maintained and the included breakfast is quite good. No toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner or body lotion provided in the rooms, so bring your own if you are staying for longer than a few nights. Pool area is lovely, but be aware that this property hosts events. While we were there a large children’s birthday party happened, so the music was loud all afternoon and there were a lot of people on the grounds. This hotel is located across the street from the ocean, beaches and on the main strip were there are many restaurants to choose from.

Even if is rated 3 star hotel, with no elevator, I don,t think can be a real 3 star. The electricity is working only with a room key connected to general switch. Every time you open the balcony door AC stop, lights also, very inconvenient.

This was a horrible hotel to stay at.. my trip to this hotel was very unfortunate not very memorable… the hotel staff was very unfriendly didn’t show very much customer service or hospitality when we arrive to the hotel. The room they provided with us. The air-conditioning was broken, they didn’t have a new batteries for the remote control so the TV wouldn’t turn on, the shower was broken that the rain shower wasn’t working. This was a really bad experience. I don’t recommend staying here.

Excellent bar/pool and breakfast staff

The breakfast and service was amazing. The views from our room was breathtaking.

Property was right near the beach and close to restaurants and shops. The only downside was we stayed on the second floor of the older part of the property and getting to our room was not an easy task as there were only stairs to get to the 2nd floor and a few ramps just to get to these steps. For anyone disabled, this would not be suitable.

The hotel lack a lot of essentials.
And no space in the room. I tried family suite, standard room and superior room. The look of the rooms changed but the quality remained the same. Poor rooms, with poor walls.

Bra dusch, är van vid att det är lite dåligt tryck i duschar när man är utomlands. Men här var det riktigt bra.

Enda minuset var att AC slutade funka en natt då den stått på för länge... Men receptionen fixade så vi fick upp en fläkt, så det gick att sova med den på :)

We found the overall experience lacking due to the condition of the facilities.
The rooms are in serious need of renovation. The furniture and decor felt outdated, and the bedding showed visible signs of wear. The bathrooms could also benefit from a refresh.
With some much-needed upgrades, this hotel has the potential to be far more enjoyable.

We reserve last minute and were able to get a room. If you want a lively place for the weekend this is your spot. They closed the streets surrounding the hotel and nearby hotels for partying all night long. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommended.

This property was amazing the staff facilities and local people were 10/10 such a great experience for my first time in Greece what a lovely place!!! Thank you to all the staff at the hotel from the reception team and especially the bar staff who were quick helpful friendly and really hard working always up and down the pool area attending to the guests.

Typical spartan Greek rooms. The pool is quite nice. Beds and breakfast mediocre at best. Location good right in town.
