The best part of this hotel is how welcoming it feels. It seems that everyone working there is a genuinely nice person. It feels nice to be greeted with a smile and "welcome back" when you come to the hotel after a day of sightseeing.
The breakfast area is open the whole day and they are good at providing different snacks there at different times of the day: canapes, soup, milk tea, cookies, juice, instant ramen. This created this lovely homely feeling of "let's check if there's something good in the kitchen" for me. You get some complimentary cookies and soft drinks in the room too.
The breakfast itself is very good too.
My room was small, but comfortable enough. They were cleaning it every day.
The location is good. The neighbourhood is lively enough to have plenty of restaurants and shops, but it is not overcrowded. There are no major tourist attractions within walking distance, but you easily get there by public transport.
I would rate the hotel 10/10 if it wasn't for the bad soundproofing. You hear a lot of noise from the street, and from the other rooms. I could hear my neighbours talking in their room and I am sure they could hear me. You will likely have to use earplugs for sleeping.
It would be great if there was a drinking water dispenser somewhere in the lobby so that guests could easily fill their water bottles and avoid wasting plastic.
Some shelves or drawers for unpacking in the room would be good too.

The location was very convenient. The rooms and bathrooms are super modern, clean, and quiet. The staff were quite friendly and helpful, especially Kim, who had some fantastic recommendations for places to visit around Taipei!
