A super relaxed and lovely lovely stay
Pros:

Such a relaxed comfortable hotel next to green areas and a very close walk to town or to Hagley Park. The staff were all welcoming and gracious . The restaurant is charming and perfect for meals or even just a coffee…and the outside area is so nice if it’s not too cold.
Super comfy beds and complimentary water and a handwritten welcome… I could go on! We also took advantage of the pet friendly room and had our wee doggie stay too. He was very calm and settled in like his own home.

Wonderful stay, excellent location within walking distance to central Christchurch.
Pros:

Wonderful suite, large and comfortable with nice outlook and outdoor balcony/seating. Really great location away from the bustle but walking distance to central Christchurch. The hotel's staff were extremely professional and helpful throughout our stay. The food & wine experience at the hotel's restaurant was extremely good. We dined there for both breakfast & dinner and enjoyed our experience. Well done Hotel Montreal.

Best dog welcoming hotel ever
Pros:

This Hotel exceeded our expectations, firstly we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. We have just moved from Sydney to New Zealand that day along with our very friendly border collie. We thought we would have to eat in our room because we couldn’t leave our dog alone just after her very first plane ride. The staff informed us, we could have Tara ( our dog) join us in the restaurant. Then we enjoyed their exquisite menu and wine list in a most relaxing atmosphere. So relaxing, our
dog fell asleep at our feet. The room was warm spacious and cosy with everything we needed. A park across the street which was very dog friendly PS the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and the coffee in the early morning from restaurant kicked our day off perfectly. When we venture to Christchurch we’ll be booking again, dog or not. Thank you being so welcoming

Nice big room. Comfortable bed. Free car parking.

Cons:

Our room faced the road which was quite noisy at times. Also the lighting was poor particularly in the bathroom which made getting ready for a function difficult.
