Great place, great food and service and not overcrowded.
Pros:

Service was excellent, very attentive and food was really good across all meals we ate there, including best room service i have had in years, if not ever. Loved that there was onsite parking without ridiculous charges or having to take the vehicle offsite for storage and that the hotel is not too big and impersonal.

A super relaxed and lovely lovely stay
Pros:

Such a relaxed comfortable hotel next to green areas and a very close walk to town or to Hagley Park. The staff were all welcoming and gracious . The restaurant is charming and perfect for meals or even just a coffee…and the outside area is so nice if it’s not too cold.
Super comfy beds and complimentary water and a handwritten welcome… I could go on! We also took advantage of the pet friendly room and had our wee doggie stay too. He was very calm and settled in like his own home.

Wonderful stay, excellent location within walking distance to central Christchurch.

Wonderful suite, large and comfortable with nice outlook and outdoor balcony/seating. Really great location away from the bustle but walking distance to central Christchurch. The hotel's staff were extremely professional and helpful throughout our stay. The food & wine experience at the hotel's restaurant was extremely good. We dined there for both breakfast & dinner and enjoyed our experience. Well done Hotel Montreal.

Pros:

The food was amazing, the room was clean, well equipped, the bed was warm and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and friendly, we felt very welcome.
