Excellent location, clean and comfortable place to stay!
Pros:

Excellent location in the centre of Amsterdam with transport options right on the doorstep. Comfortable private room with en suite and surprisingly quiet on the top floor even right next to the bars and restaurants! Quick and easy check-in with the staff (24/7) even out of hours. Daily housekeeping to a good standard, thank you for a comfortable stay.

Cons:

Access up the narrow staircase and smaller rooms (normal for Amsterdam properties) might be difficult for travellers with accessibility requirements. Some plumbing smells from the bathroom although this may have been due to the heatwave.

Good, solid base to rest.
Pros:

Great location, really friendly staff, bag storage, cleaned are room and provided fresh towels. I think it's important to provide balance and some reviews I've read have been unfair. A/C - it's a building that is probably hundreds of years old, not easy to install. No lift - same as previous answer.

This is a place to rest your head, get washed, and be local to all major sights. The train station is 2/3 min walk. Ideal place imo for a few nights.

Cons:

The toilet smelt when we first walked in but was fine after one flush.

Super vriendelijk. Ontzettend schoon allemaal, de kamer zowel als de badkamer. Ben zeer tevreden🥰

Great location. Great staff. Comfortable and clean 10/10
Pros:

The hotel was in an excellent location only 5 mins walk from the coach station and right in the middle of restaurants, pubs etc. It was a beautiful old pub with hand carved wooden interior. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a nice big fan to cool us down. The manager was lovely and answered and questions. He also allowed us to leave our luggage until pick up time.

Cons:

Nothing. It was all lovely. ❤️

Το προσωπικό πολύ ευγενικό στην υποδοχή, η τοποθεσία του εξαιρετική. Είσαι μέσα σε πυρηνα του Άμστερνταμ κοντά από κεντρικό σταθμό του τρένου.

Cons:

Ταξίδευα μόνος και ετσι το δωμάτιο ήταν πολύ μικρό που μου δόθηκε. Ίσως έπαιξε ρόλο το οτι ήμουν μόνος στο ταξίδι. Απλά το αναφέρω.

The perfect layover at a comfy, quirky hotel with history
Pros:

Location was perfect, just moments from Central Station. I was traveling alone and just needed a place for an overnight layover. My room was quiet despite being in the center of things. Michael was staffing the bar/reception and gave me a lovely recommendation for a running route, then later that evening I enjoyed a beer with a few other travelers + Michael in the VERY COOL bar on the ground floor of the hotel. Cozy and made from wood from a historic ship (fun fact Michael told us). Great vibes all around. Didn't quite expect it to be so good based on how affordable it was, and during World Pride, too. Will definitely be back.
