Domodedovo AirHotel

This hotel could be a good transit spot before or after a flight.
My flight landed at night, so I decided to book a room at AirHotel to rest and wait for my next flight there.
It could be a bit tricky to find the free shuttle, but if you ask around, airport staff would guide you. Basically, it’s next to Gate 2 (to the left).
The check-in process was swift.
I had a comfort room with a king bed. The room had everything needed: slippers, a dental kit, shampoos, a mini bar, tea/coffee (instant coffee) facilities.
The breakfast was nice with freshly squeezed orange juice, omelette, blini, fruit, veggies, etc. you can even make your own waffles there.

The location of the hotel is ideal for transit travelers or late night arrivals because the Train/Metro doesn’t operate from Domodedovo Airport to Moscow City Centre (approx. 45 km) in between 0000 hrs till 0600 hrs. Hotel is located just outside the Airport terminal parking and also offers free shuttle service which moves every 30 minutes. The hotel infrastructure is of Cold War era which is depicted in Holywood movies. However, the air conditioning was satisfactory and room was decently spacious. Bed linens were clean and mattresses were quite comfy. Toilet was adequate with supplies of towels, toiletries and warm water. The Wi-Fi was working satisfactorily on the ground and 1st floor, but not effective on upper floors. The reception staff was very helpful with respect to our requests for late check in and late check out.

Very nice hotel

I was quite worried after seeing a bunch of negative reviews on TripAdvisor, but my booking was non refundable, so I risked it.

At US$45 per night (for a middle tier, "standard" room) don't expect a Ritz-Carlton experience (there will be no valets with silk gloves and no Renoir painting on the walls either), but the place delivers great value for the price.

Positives: A clean, decent sized room; a comfortable bed; only a 5-10 minute walk from Domodedovo airport terminal (if you don't want to walk, a shuttle is also available, running every 15 minutes or so).

Negatives: the WiFi at 2 Mbps is slow - bring your own SIM;
Breakfast buffet arrangements date back to Year 1 B.C. (Before Covid), a reasonably good food, but shared utensils to take it - bring your own hand sanitiser...

Awful experience. I stayed there from 15th to 16th of December. Receptionist was very rude. Every question was met with rolled up eyes. If you are so unhappy with this job, don’t work there! Room was awful and dirty. Toilet was cracked and was dirty. Whoever stayed there previously, went to the toilet and it was never cleaned before my stay. And this is during Covid times! Shower head was covered with 100 years old limescale. Window didn’t close properly so all night I was awake by cars and planes. I stayed twice in this hotel and internet never works in the room. Absolutely disgusting place! I will never stay there again!!!

Easy shuttle service. Everything you need is there. Not all advertised amenities are there and when asking about it you get a “sorry” and that’s it.

Suitable if you need to rest one night not far from airport. Shuttle bus service, breakfast, wireless internet are available. Prices are reasonable. Rooms are clean. There is car park area and restaurant within the facility.

I have stayed at this hotel before, and sent family members to stay here. Recently we spent the worst night of our lives at this hotel.
It was during a recent heat wave in Moscow, the day temperature was close to 34 Celsius and we were given a triple room without AC, we requested a change to an AC room and the change was granted except the AC did not work at all.
The engineer sent to look at it did not give a damn about the AC and the front desk wouldn't even lend us a fan, nothing! I slept 2 hours in which I was drenched in sweat, my kids could not sleep so we went out for a walk at 3AM. Finally at 7AM they lent us a fan after complaining a lot.
Moscow and a decent hotel is not really far, so I suggest you avoid this hotel at all costs.

The rooms not upgraded but clean, you can walk to the airport, nice personnel exempt the manager , amazing breakfast . Nice hotel for the price.

Overall the stay was good. Wish they had USB ports in room.
