Pros:

Skvělá lokalita, blízko do centra města i parku Vondelpark, klidné a bezpečné místo. Pokoj malý, ale dostačující. Personál velmi ochotný a vstřícný.

An unnecessarily unpleasant experience, made worse by the staff’s hostile and unwelcoming attitude.
Cons:

I arrived around noon after 18 hours of overnight travel and was told my room would be ready at 2 pm. From the outset, however, I found the attitude at reception distinctly unwelcoming and dismissive. I nevertheless waited without issue. At 2 pm, I was sent to the room, only to find that it was still not ready and the sheets were dirty.
At that point, given both the state of the room and my interactions with the staff, I decided I did not want to stay at the property and went downstairs to ask them to cancel my booking. I was told the situation was “outside their control” and that I needed to understand. When I said that this was not my problem as a guest, both men at reception became confrontational, spoke over me and told me I needed to be “more cooperative”. Given how unwelcoming they had been from the outset, I had little desire to continue negotiating or “cooperating” over a situation I had not created. I simply wanted to cancel and leave.
I found the manner in which I was treated unnecessarily hostile and, in my experience, carrying a racist undertone. The hotel initially refused a refund, which felt like pressure to stay, but eventually agreed to refund the booking.
Delays happen, and an unprepared room on its own would not normally warrant this review. It was the combination of the room and, more importantly, the way the situation was handled that made the experience unacceptable. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it, particularly to those travelling alone. Also worth noting: guests are required to leave their room keys at reception every time they leave the hotel.

Pros:

Room was clean. Maid came in daily and tidied, replenished toiletries etc. Wifi work well. Reception staff all very pleasant. Well Located next to Vondelparc, but in a nice quiet neighbourhood

Cons:

Room was average in size.... Just big enough. Probably comparable to other reasonably priced city centre sites, but smaller than other European cities I've stayed. Wish I'd booked a hotel with air con, though fortunately it wasn't during recent heatwave.
