The hotel is in a great location. Our room was very comfortable overlooking the pretty square. The front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is very convenient to City Hall Bus Stop 1, where we picked up our day tour. There were restaurants in the area and at the hotel. It was a very pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely Hotel in a central downtown location. Easy walking distance to everything. The only difficult part was the parking but that is just how it is if you want to stay city center. Loved this hotel, the staff was super welcoming and informative, Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Lovely front desk staff, extremely friendly and helpful, especially the guy from Barcelona, excellent location in the heart of everything and a 2 min. Walk to the bus, great breakfast and restaurant, clean rooms, exceeded our expectations.
This was the cutest hotel, in an original building, right on the square in the center of Reykjavik! The staff were attentive and helpful. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

Nice but had few electric outlets so couldn’t hook up breathing machines for sleeping. Bathroom was excellent.
Me and my husband really enjoyed our stay and both said when we next get to visit Iceland we'd stay here again. The room was lovely, the food fabulous and the staff were absolutely amazing. They truly went above and beyond to help us when we realised one of our activity pick up points wasn't where we thought it was to make sure we got to our activity on time. The hotel is well situated in the town with lots to do and see around it. They were always polite and friendly when we had any questions. We would both highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Iceland.

Die Lage des Hotels war hervorragend, und das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. In diesem Punkt gibt es wirklich nichts zu kritisieren.
Wir hatten für eine Nacht eine Junior Suite zum Preis von 750 Euro gebucht. Leider stimmte für uns das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht. Uns ist bewusst, dass Island ein teures Reiseland ist, da wir zuvor bereits 11 Tage durch das Land gereist sind. Dennoch erwarten wir bei diesem Preis einen Ausladebereich vor dem Hotel sowie gegebenenfalls Unterstützung mit dem Gepäck.
Zudem mussten wir unser Auto in einem nahegelegenen Parkhaus abstellen, was zusätzliche Kosten verursachte. Der Empfang war eher kühl und wir fühlten uns nicht besonders freundlich willkommen geheißen.
Das Abendessen war nicht im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen, was uns im Voraus bekannt war. Allerdings war das Essen hervorragend und definitiv eines der Highlights unseres Aufenthalts.
Insgesamt würden wir eher ein anderes Hotel für die Übernachtung empfehlen. Das Restaurant können wir hingegen sehr empfehlen, da sich ein Besuch dort absolut lohnt.
We were delighted with our stay at the Apotek Hotel. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to many of the attractions, restaurants, hop on bus, and cafes. A special touch was the heated towel rack in the well-equipped bathroom! The staff was extremely helpful and held our luggage after our cruise, prior to our flight departure, even though it was a week after our stay!
We stayed in a junior suite which was spacious and comfortable. The staff are helpful and the attached restaurant is an added feature. A great atmosphere with very good food. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Reykjavik. Hotel could use a bit of an update but that's the case with many hotels.
I stayed at the Apotek twice, my first night in Iceland and my last. (In between I traveled with a group). I booked a single room. The room was tint, the bed was a twin, but it was clean, and it had everything I needed including a great shower. Great location.
