We had a lovely stay here aided, no doubt, by an upgraded suite. The room was spotless and everything in it worked properly. The staff were friendly, resourceful, and helpful. Our meals (lunch and breakfast) were delicious and filling. We enjoyed the location - it was easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We stayed over new year's and were largely untroubled by the sounds of the seemingly endless fireworks and the accompanying bacchanal.
The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. It's well located close to bus stop 2 for drop off from the bus terminal, but also very walkable as well. It's also centrally located to the main shopping area with plenty of restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this Apotek hotel and would stay here for future visits.
Our daughter recommended this hotel and we were so glad she did. Lovely hotel in the middle of all the sites, shopping restaurants and nightlife. Fantastic breakfast buffet in the morning (we opted to include in our stay).
Beautiful hotel. Clean. Comfortable beds. Amazing drench shower. Great location to shops; restaurants & most attractions. Close to bus stop for pick ups for excursions; hop on bus etc. food at restaurant Apotek was amazing (evening meal and breakfast). All staff we spoke to were friendly, professional, efficient & a credit to themselves & the company. Will definitely stay again! Have already recommended! Thank you!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Apotek hotel. Upon arrival, I had a hiccup with my reservation, but Emily handled it in a calm, professional manner. My room was clean and comfortable. The rooms are on the smaller side, to be expected as the room sizes are published on the website. This wouldn’t be good for a family or someone with a ton of luggage, but maybe the larger rooms are. I was in a double room.
My room was a double and had a small closet, coffee maker, and fridge. The shower pressure was amazing. Just around the corner from bus stop 3 and not far from stop 1. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Easy to get to the harbor as well.
This will be my default hotel anytime I’m back in Reykjavík. Highly recommend.
Helpful staff, fantastic location.
Only drawback is on the weekend the bars stay open til like 4am and the music is so loud we were kept up all night.
