Pleasant stay, my critic is for feedback. We enjoyed our stay.
Pros:

Beautiful location and very pleasant staff.

Cons:

The double bed was small. The view outside the room wasn’t the best. The breakfast pretty basic. The room was tired and maybe needs a revamp.

Beautiful setting and brilliant hotel. The staff were all great too.
Pros:

A beautiful hotel with brilliant staff. They are really helpful and are very professional. Rooms are beautiful and have great names rather than numbers.

Cons:

My only negative with this hotel is, at the bar they put a service change on each drink. I do think that on food a service charge is acceptable. However, on pulling a pint and handing it to you at the bar I think this is a little cheeky and wrong.

Beautiful country house in lovely grounds, definitely worth a stay if you need a stop off point
Pros:

The room was a fabulous size, lovely and spacious. Decor was very nice but did maybe look a touch sparce. Asked for a room with bath & bath was HUGE!

Cons:

There was no air conditioning in the room and notices advising not to open the windows due to location (trees/lakeside) so room was too warm in the night. room looked slightly 'worn', marks on the wall behind the bin, furniture with chips, but nothing too bad

Beautiful hotel & surrounding areas knoll
Pros:

Location of hotel. Comfort of rooms and facilities. Staff were professional and very pleasant.
We never used the restaurant but the Captains bar food was very nice.

Cons:

Lack of information in rooms regarding amenities in the hotel and visiting surroundings.
Extreme levels of noise from above room. We heard every footstep loudly creaking on floor which badly interrupted sleep.
Shower in room not disabled friendly after asking for walk in shower and one more than the other had to be helped to get in and out.
