Hotel Lignos

No nos proporcionarían la dirección exacta del hotel y cuando llegamos al que salía en Google Maps no había nadie. Llamamos y nos dijeron que era otro hotel, que lo busquemos en Google Maps. Fuimos al otro lugar y tampoco había nadie en recepción. Volvimos a llamar y ahí ya nos dijeron que habitación era y donde estaban las llaves. El hotel era diferente y muchísimo mejor que el que reservamos en realidad, por eso mereció la pena el cambio y las llamadas.

The hotel is very dirty i find the rubish at all in the room in the bad in the toilet even they are no hot water and the room is very freezing. Bad bad horrible hotel.

The thing that stood out at this hotel was the service and kindness of receptionist and host Donja. It was also an accommodating stay due to the porch space. Our room did not have as many windows as I would have liked. Along with this minor detail, I will also say that the humidity was a little higher than I would have liked. For the price, this stay was okay, but the humidity was a negative factor for us (we are being picky about this).

The airline lost our bag during a flight connection and the hotel was very helpful in helping getting the bag back from the airline. The hotel is decent place for a good price.

Había leído muchos comentarios negativos sobre este hotel y como llegábamos de madrugada, íbamos con un poco de miedo. Intenté contactar con ellos para avisar y fue imposible por teléfono (y no existe ningún e-mail). Al llegar nos encontramos una nota en la puerta, indicando el número de habitación y con las llaves puestas allí. Habíamos reservado una habitación triple, pero nos encontramos con una diminuta habitación con una cama doble. Dormimos como pudimos esa noche, ya que no había nadie en recepción. A la mañana siguiente conseguimos hablar con una mujer muy amable (que atendía en recepción y limpiaba las habitaciones) y nos cambió a una habitación doble, pero más grande y con plegatín. El servicio podría ser muy mejorable (para acceder a la piscina hay que ir a otro hotel a unos 300 metros) pero por este precio no se encuentra nada mejor tan céntrico en Thira. Vale la pena si se tiene un presupuesto ajustado para estar en una ubicación muy buena.

It was a great stay for the price, except for the fact that I got MULTIPLE bug bites whenever I would sleep in the bed. I kindly informed the manager for the next guest, but she insisted that it wasn’t possible because she had changed the sheets for our stay. My guess is that it was flea bites.

Buen servicio por el costo del Hotel, está en un lugar céntrico sin vista al mar.

Recatami all'hotel Lignos dopo circa mezz'ora di attesa alla reception dove non c'era nessuno, riesco finalmente (dopo aver girato per tutto l'hotel ed eser salita sino al terrazzo dove stendono la biancheria) a parlare con una signora il cui ruolo era quello di receptionist e donna delle pulizie(???) che mi dice che la sistemazione per una notte non sara' al Lignos, bensì allhote Blue Sky, che si trova a circa 500 mts in direzione sud- Campeggio di Santorini. Camere spartane, servizi basici, ma almeno aveva un balcone. All'hotel Blue Sky c'è anche una piccola piscina,

Llegamos tarde y nos enviaron a otro lugar, sin claras instrucciones buscamos una hab. diferente a la publicación y extraña. Mala experiencia.

Only wanted a room for 10 hours because we had a late flight. Thought we would leave our luggage and freshion up before heading to the airport. Our first room had damp wall and mild then changed rooms, not as bad condition but had smelly damp bedding and towels.

Al llegar nos hospedaron en otro hotel q estaba a unos 300 metros del q yo había reservado! En compensación nos sumaron desayuno durante los 4 días , y el hotel al q nos mandaron estaba muy bien! Era limpio y cómodo! Volvería

They are a scam. Bait and switched us and tried to cut you out of the booking.

We never have chance to check-in,the front door was close and what greeted us is a notice posted to the door, that we have to go to the other hotel and so we did.The receptionist told us to wait 30 min. for our ride again to another hotel,then 3 hours past we still waiting and the receptionist already left,we tried calling their number, they would pick up and hang it up right away I guess the person from the other line dont know how to speak english.Very terrible experience,their staffs are sucks I would never recommend this hotel. I sent a message to expdia if I can get my money back. This hotel shound not be operating thier numbers are useless and very poor staffs.Forever negative star for this hotel, never ever get reservation from them, PERIOD...

Actually we booked lignos hotel but we didn't stay at lignos cos was closed. VERY VERY roude receptionist, she told as we have to stay at blu sky hotel they are the same owner because lignos is closed. Of course not far to heach other but the different is the blu sky is down the hill and quiet different location. I don't raccomand at all this hotel.
We generally find santorini people unplesant, 0 costumers service and some of them aggressive and very roude ( bus driver, taxi driver, ticket man, hotelier, receptionist, shop people ecc ecc)

tired hotel, but it was booked last min late at night and was just to lay our heads.

Hotel Lignos is very well located in Fira, 2 minutes from the main bus station and the city center. The room was very clean and mostly comfortable. There seemed to be a problem with the air conditionning and it woke me up in the middle of the night. I simply shut it off and had forgotten about it in the morning. I never got to see the reception opened and did both check in and check out with the cleaning lady who was extremely nice and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel to enjoy the glimpse of paradise on Earth that is Santorini.

Photios on the website are bogus. A really disappointing owner insulted us asking if we were expecting a room with a window after booking a 1 star hotel as we arrived. I answered that I booked it for the free transfer and the swimming pool . No transfer was provided. and the swimming pool is far away and empty. Breakfast is miserable. Non existent reception.Ground floor rooms moldy and smelling very bad. On the hotel door there was a hand written note saying to go to another hotel "if you have reservation".and we had to make an international call to find the other hotel.
Reception only through international calls.

You always get what you pay for and this hotel was a good value for money. The rooms were basic but clean, the pool area nice and for breakfast the common stuff like bread, cheese, ham, jam, cereals, yoghurt, some fruit, juices, tea, coffee.
