Lovely historic hotel and centre of Vientiene. Room was great, comfy bed. The Bluetooth speaker was a nice touch, especially as we had forgotten ours. Good breakfast selection. Nice pool.

A solid choice!
Pros:

Settha Palace is a great option in Vientiane. The boutique hotel is housed in an old villa, which is classic and essential. The pool is a plus, and the staff is very friendly and polite. You can't go wrong. Walkable distance from a busy area and a couple of landmarks!

Cons:

I feel like the breakfast can be improved (limited gluten/dairy-free options), and the overall food quality of the restaurant is on the average side, good, but nothing more. Also restaurant is overpriced.

The colonial architecture is beautifully preserved, giving the hotel a timeless, refined atmosphere that feels both luxurious and relaxing.

The hotel was well located within walking distance to many of the main tourist sites.

The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, with high ceilings, classic furnishings, and all the modern comforts you could want. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring the city.

The staff truly make this hotel special. Every interaction was friendly, professional, and attentive, with genuine care shown to guests at all times. Nothing felt rushed or transactional — just calm, gracious service throughout the stay.

The pool area is a tranquil oasis, perfect for escaping the heat, and the breakfast was excellent, offering a great mix of international options and local flavors, all served in a beautiful setting.

Stille luksus midt i storbyen
Pros:

Virkelig flot hotel i klassisk fransk koloni-stil. Gammelt, men på den gode måde. Rigtig flotte badeværelser. Skøn luxuriøs stemning. Lækker morgenmad.

Good fundamentals, good for single night stay but a little tired
Pros:

I liked the historic nature of the building and overall setting. The staff were very attentive.

A gem in Vientiane!
Pros:

What a gem!! Only staying at this Hotel worth the trip to Vientiane.
It keeps the glamour and comfort of the past.
I have no words for the personal. Since the beginning, they were very nice, polite, and helpful. We faced some problems during our trip, and they helped us with everything, making us feel at home.
Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. You have anything you may need.
Breakfast is nice, and taking it in the swimming pool area is the best way to start the day.
We had dinner at the restaurant, and I must say it is the best burger we have ever eaten.
Location is superb. Walking distance to street markets and Patuxai.
We recommend it, and for sure, we will be back soon.

Seulement un hôtel pas un palace
Pros:

Le personnel très arrangeant pour nous changer de chambre vers 22h30 car celle que nous avions , donnait sur une coursive et nous entendions le bruit très fort de la rue et de la musique du restaurant à proximité
Le charme désuet de l’hôtel qui fait penser à un décor d’Agatha Christie

Cons:

L’hôtel est situé en angle de 2 rues donnant sur plusieurs restaurants bruyants (musique ) et il ne faut surtout avoir des chambres donnant sur les coursives
Le petit déjeuner est sans intérêt très européen et manquant de variétés
