Zia Boutique Hotel

Stayed here for 2 nights during my birthday, booked through Traveloka. First night I was given a free upgrade as the room I booked for was no longer available. Following afternoon I extended the stay through Traveloka for another night.

Pros: Bed is comfortable, check-in process was quick, spacious bedroom, cold air conditioning

CONS: Shower water heater did not work properly. Called the front desk and they said they'd follow up / call back (we waited hours and decided to just use the cold water shower). I found a disgusting wrapping paper from a used condom under the curtains (careless housekeeping, did not clean the place thoroughly). Bed sheets had weird yellow stains. Wi-Fi is super slow and continuously disconnects from your phones. Before check-out time, there was no courtesy call from the front desk bothering to ask if we were checking out or extending the stay. WITH my room on DO NOT DISTURB, the staff came in front my door knocking loudly and quick not stating even which department they were from or what purpose they had coming in front of the door. Also, on the day I extended the stay, I also had the DO NOT DISTURB sign shown but the staff proceeded to ring the doorbell to make up my room in which I asked them to come back at 3PM since I was leaving at that time; they told me "sure, but 3pm is the only time we can come back since there will be no other staff to clean after as we'll be going home" thank you fyi ☺️
At check-out, (around before 1pm) the front desk staff did not bother asking for feedback and just gave me my deposit and I checked out. Another thing, to go to the motorbike parking area, you have to go behind the hotel where it is all muddy and dirty, they wouldn't allow you to park closer despite having the parking space COMPLETELY EMPTY.

Small advice, please kindly train your staff to read the DND signs and what not to do when it is SWITCHED ON. And if you say you want to follow up on something and call us back, ACTUALLY DO IT. Prevent your guests from waiting too long. I will attach the photo of the wrapping paper from the used condom on this review. I'm unable to mention any of the names of your staff as NONE wore their name tags.

The room was clean and comfy. Everything served worked. The room service was a bit slow but they'll served you. The wifi worked well. The hotel is located nearby the city centre and you could find local food around the hotel. There's a cafeteria next to the hotel though.

Overall staying experience is neither bad nor good. You get what you paid for. Can be further improved. You got to wait for 10-15mins after u turn on the Aircon to get the room cool. Its equipped with basic necessities. But the good thing is that, the staff readily attend ur issue fast.
For breakfast, staff need to be more proactive in restocking the food items so as not to have the customer wait for it to refill. If you looking for a no frill place to recharge after a day out, this is a valuable place. Overall staff are very friendly and will try their best to rectify amy issues.

Their service is abit slow. Not much of shops around the area. Their hotel breakfast, not much of varieties. Had slight diarrhoea after having them. What’s good about the hotel are their rooms. The bed was so comfortable and the water pressure of the rain shower is good. Toilet was fine; nothing to say much, just basic necessities provided.

Front desk people was excelent. But breakfast was bad, little variety of food to choose from and 1030 they already started asking us and about to clear the buffet. 2nd day we skip breakfast. 😊

1. Not in prime location, Not happening area, a dead area.
2. But peaceful no noise n no disturbance.
3. Staff very cooperative n very kind n loving.

5. NO SEA NO BEACH
6. Room not given as was promised.
7. BUT 100 TIMES BETTER THAN SINGAPORE.

I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights. The room is quite big and clean. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. But the breakfast selection is just so so. It's a quite good stay within certain budget

The room is comfortable & simple but there are a lot of items were either missing or spoilt and the toilet smell

It was late in the evening when i finally checked -in at Zia Boutique Hotel. Comparing the photos as seen through the website and the actual physical setting seen in person really makes a lot difference. The hotel is surely a star attraction in Boom Town Batam. Boutique size Zia Hotel has good basic amenities including wifi. What is more important the bedroom is handsomely fitted with beautiful decor . The bathroom looks luxurious with both shower stall and bathtub provided. The front office staff were very friendly and pleasing. The morning breakfast though simple and mainly local were still an appetizing spread.

Bad location. No shop around. Middle of no where. Morning breakfast is bad. Example Guest is allow to order 1 egg only. When ask the hotel reception. He don even bother to reply you. Don recommend thia hotel.

The room was very nice, spacious with anything we could need;
it was clean and cleaned everyday
just couldn't work out how to set the safe code...
we had breakfast included and the buffet was big and deliciuos;
staff is friendly and helpful,
there are some major working on the road in front which penalize the hotel right now, once finished should be very good all around;
not too far from the center but still you will need a taxi ride

Good location, near to go to shopping center and the best is they have spacious rooms for a family!!!
So you can arrange your luggage if you bring a lot of bags.
The staffs was good and helping us with smile and they will go and back quick as they can if we ask something from them.

It was good, the staff make sure they try their best to fulfill my request. But the area around the hotel was quiet ulu and it is difficult to find a convenient store to buy snacks after 10pm. Although the staff did suggest to help us buy

The hotel is clean. The room is very big. The staff is friendly. Go to nagoya take taxi around 10-15 mins

Great got shuttle service to and fro nagoya mall. But at 1st staff was not sure if the shuttle is available as they dont know where is the driver. But manage to find anyway it was awesome only this hotel ive stayed offer this wonderful service.

Aircon in room take awhile to chill the room.

No water heater to cook water. No free tea and coffee.

Bed is great. Most comfortable bed ive slept in. Toilet is great too.

The place is ok. Service is ok. Free shuttle is ok but it will be better if they can pick the guest as well like a 2 way transfer. Wifi is slow and not stable.

When I check in the main door latch is missing not safe . Then mini bar not working but request to change they did . Air con not cold enough .

The place was cleaned like in your home. The places at your sigh are clean but below the bed was full of dust, a few old rose petals and used sleepers. Some of the pillows were visually unclean and the sleepers available to us in the room where previously used. The mini bar was empty. In hotel, outside the room, is quite warm and the internet is not good at all. This place is perfect for a quick shower and a quick rest regarding the price. Not more than that. But it had potential to be a better place.

Worth every penny..best budget hotel with service I've ever known
