Location.
Hotel old and tired, felt like it was on its last legs. Needs major renovation or closure.
Noise from room above which was in fact partly inside our room
Poor breakfast offering, you take what they give you.
Gates were locked at 21.00, had to call each time to have them opened. Waited in heavy rain one night.
Wouldnot know
The place with nice views and amazing staff. I had great room with a balcony.
A reasonably priced hotel. Staff were helpful and kind. From the main road to the hotel roads are narrow and winding, understandably since Kandy is a hill country city.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, had a wonderful stay
View was superb staff were so kind helpful expect for the kitchen one they we just ok
There were cockroach at the penthouse bed which is creepy, bath water pressure was bad, they charge USD10 per pax for breakfast not worth at all too expensive. My local friend booked a room they got it with free breakfast. Unfair not worth.
The view from our room was fantastic and the staff were very helpful
If only it had a pool…
We got an upgrade to a bigger room.
The staff was extremely polite and very helpful. One of the members even spoke German.
There is a lift to the rooms, good for our (sorry, but yes) rather huge luggage.
There is a DVD player, and they offer a reasonable choice of DVDs to lend free of charge.
There was a table and two chairs in the room.
The place is too far out of town.
It is somewhat rundown, at least speaking of the room we stayed in.
We don't know where they got the 4 stars from: no hairdryer, the "minibar" consisted of some instant coffee and tea tray with cookies, two small water bottles and an empty refrigerator.
Water pressure in the shower was very low.
Furniture was worn, window seals falling out, and the outside windows could do with some cleaning, basically all over the hotel.
There are no handrails in the staircase.
The WLAN was so slow that we were unable to load emails, let alone do anything else in WWW.
The restaurant/breakfast room had no atmosphere plus a noisy radio running all the time, with a lot of reverberation.
There were very few guests, probably the reason for us to be forced to pre-order our one and only dinner two hours in advance.
It was the only hotel of our total Sri Lanka holiday which pulled the accomodation cost weeks before our arrival.
For Sri Lanka, we think it is highly overpriced. For the money spent, we had FAR better accomodation in other areas, including Colombo.
The view, staff
far off location, construction site right next to hotel, hallways had a bad smell, carpets, balcony questionably safe, food at restaurant just not okay for the price plus veggies having certain precut shapes,
very very very overpriced
