Peaceful Paradise by the Sea
I stayed at Pyrgos Blue with a lifelong friend in mid-June, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and spotless, with a king-size bed, an extra single bed, and a large private balcony furnished with loungers, chairs, and a table. Plenty of storage space, too.
What really stood out was the view: the sea stretching out before us, waves gently rolling in, a tiny chapel on a nearby small island and citylights far away. With no adjacent balconies, it felt completely private—we even slept with the screen door open and fell asleep to the sound of the waves. No air conditioning needed; the breeze was perfect.
The daily cleaning was impeccable, there was a small fridge to keep our water. The pool bar offered great options. Despite a late arrival due to a flight delay, we were warmly welcomed and even served a late-night meal.
Parking was always available for our rental car, and we highly recommend visiting the village of Sissi and the nearby Minoan palace ruins. After such trips, we’d unwind by the pool or in the garden, there were always plenty of loungers and no loud music, just the soothing sound of the sea.
Malia’s town center with excellent restaurants is just a short walk away. It was a perfect holiday. A couple of small suggestions: a hook near the shower would be handy, and a foldable luggage rack could make packing more comfortable.

Overall great experience here. They do not have the beach, it’s mostly rocks. I should’ve done more research but the property itself was great. Good was great, room was surprisingly spacious and very clean!

Es war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Wir hatten eine Suite mit Whirlpool auf der Terrasse, Meerblick und Sonnenuntergang.
Das Zimmer war perfekt eingerichtet und das Personal super freundlich.

Great place. Quiet and chill vibe but with easy walk of shops, bars etc.

The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the room was picture perfect, the food was great and even tough the pictures looked great, we were pleasently surprised that the hotel was even prettier than advertised. Highly recommend staying there!

Amazing location and view

Vraiment top, loin de l’agitation de Malia. La vue est incroyable et les gérants sont vraiment agréables.

Sehr schönes Hotel, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Lage direkt am Strand, da leider nicht so schön war. Tolle Pool Landschaft. Circa 10 Minuten zur Stadtmitte zu laufen.

Not only was this property breathtaking, Tula and the entire staff were extremely kind, helpful, and warm. The best part of our visit to Greece was our stay at the Pyrgos Blue. This hotel is a mere 10 minute walk from the city and party scene which my mom and I greatly appreciated because we didn’t want to be immersed with the spring break crowd. The rooms and common areas of the property were clean. The pool had a breathtaking and undisturbed view of the sea. The food served at the restaurant/bar on site was excellent. Everything about this hotel was divine.
