This was our second stay at the Fosshotel Reykjavik. Will always go back
Pros:

The room was wonderful on the 15th floor over looking the sea. The bed was very comfortable, and the staff at the desk were awesome.

Pros:

We liked the breakfast, room layout and beds. The location was reasonably close to the most attractive restaurants and in town sites.

Wonderful Staff- Fabulous Hotel
Pros:

This hotel is wonderful! Great location, excellent breakfast, spacious room (we booked for 3 people) and awesome staff. Also nice bar with great decor and the hotel also has some beautiful views of Reykjavík.

Pros:

Das Zimmer war geräumig und ruhig.

Cons:

Der Frühstücksraum erinnerte an eine Bahnhofshalle, extrem laut und überfüllt. Kaffeeautomat war defekt.

Foss Hotel is my choice nonetheless.
Pros:

Breakfast was splendid with a good variety made esp. bananas.
Double/triple glazing was helpful given the drilling sounds from a demolition site only meters away.
Location is ideal to stretch the legs adequately down the main highstreet shopping street and up to the huge towering church.
Cab service from hotel is awesome which Reception Staff arranged to taxi us to the Skarfabakki Cruise Terminal (highly recommended).

Cons:

The faucet in the bathroom sink is odd with an unbearable vibrating rumble sound coming out LOUD & rumbling when the hot water was chosen!!!
The windows glass panels are lime-stained on the outside making depriving good sunset photography.

All the staff were pleasant. Central location

Cons:

The beds were far too soft. It didn't even feel like a proper mattress. I still have back pain from sleeping on it. The windows are not well insulated. There are coaches parked with their engines running from 3am onwards picking people up for the airport. Overall a terrible nights sleep and wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone.
