Great place!
Pros:

Great place to stay. Room was clean, spacious and well foreseen from all necessary equipment, allowing us to prepare dinner ourselves a few times. Wellness area is nice, breakfast great. Nice cozy lounge and bar area. One can feel the passion of hospitality from the owners and personnel. Also having a locker for skimaterial at the gondola is very handy.

Amazing hotel
Pros:

We just returned from an incredible week-long stay at this hotel, and before we get caught up in daily life again, I wanted to share our experience.

From the moment we arrived, greeted by a warm and welcoming receptionist, to our final night when we received a thoughtfully prepared food bag for our early morning flight, we felt truly looked after—almost like part of the family.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. Our room was spacious and spotless, with beds made up daily. The homemade breakfasts, complete with freshly squeezed orange juice, were a perfect start to each morning. The spa was a haven of relaxation, and the massage we had? Absolutely unforgettable. We also made great use of the gym, and the incredibly kind receptionist even went the extra mile to heat the yoga building for me before my solo session.

From start to finish, this stay was nothing short of perfect. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already looking forward to our next visit.

Old tv without any option to connect netflix.. Only 2 channels with English language, Smells from other apartments kitchens was in our room. Noises from others rooms till late hours. Price in hotel is lower when you book directly

Pros:

Great family-run hotel in a good location (walking distance to the gondola station), with all the required facilities, decorated in style. Our apartament (we got a free upgrade to a penthouse) was very comfortable and very well equipped. Tasty buffet breakfast with high quality products and freshly sqeezed orange juice. A big plus for free ski depot at the gondola station! A nice surprise at the check-out - a wall calendar with photos of the local area.

Cons:

We liked everything. If we had to make any recommendation, it would be even better if there was a bigger selection of hot food during breakfast.e.g. sausages, bacon, etc.

I recently stayed at Das Kaltenbach, and it was absolutely amazing! The apartment was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities we could possibly need. The hotel offers fantastic facilities, including a wonderful swimming pool, a mini zoo that the kids loved, and even a sauna for kids! There are also two great play areas that kept our little ones entertained for hours. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The location is perfect—close to everything by car, but quite peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kaltenbach. We will definitely be coming back!

I want to share my unfortunate experience at this hotel to warn others, especially those traveling with children. Throughout my stay, there were several incidents involving the hotel owner that left a very negative impression. Additionally, there were other concerns that affected the overall experience.

Firstly, the lack of air conditioning in the rooms made the stay uncomfortable, especially considering the hot weather during my visit. This made it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep, significantly impacting the quality of our stay.

Furthermore, the breakfast offered was limited in its menu options. It would have been appreciated to have a wider variety of choices available to suit different dietary preferences and needs. This restriction limited our dining experience and left us wanting more from the hotel's offerings.

Another issue was the availability of only one bathroom in the apartment serving multiple rooms. This proved to be quite inconvenient, especially during peak times when all guests were trying to use the facilities simultaneously.

Moreover, I found that the balconies in the apartments were quite small. This limited the space available for relaxation and enjoying the views. It would have been beneficial to have more spacious balconies to enhance the overall experience of staying at the hotel.

Lastly, the management's confrontational approach towards guests with children, as I previously mentioned, left me with a significant concern for the safety and well-being of families visiting this hotel.

Based on these factors, I cannot recommend this hotel, particularly for families with children. Besides the issues with the hotel owner's behavior, the lack of air conditioning, limited breakfast choices, one bathroom for multiple rooms, and small balconies all detracted from the overall comfort and satisfaction of our stay.

Pros:

We had an unforgettable stay at the Das Kaltenbach. Great design of the hotel rooms and facilities and great location close to the ski station.
We enjoyed the Sauna, the pool and the massage. the breakfast was also delicious with very fresh ingredients and variety of the food.
