Cons:

Der Pool war wegen Reparatur geschlossen. Dies war aber ein wesentliches Auswahlkriterium. Die Gutschrift für das beinhaltete Frühstück war niedriger als die durchschnittlichen Frühstücksangebote. Dabei waren Getränke noch nicht inbegriffen.

Failures in basic service
Pros:

Poor service for a hotel that bills itself as a luxury stay. They failed on two basic requests most hotels would manage with ease: We were flying out early in the morning and wanted (a) early 6am breakfast via room service, and (b) a taxi to the airport. Room service doesn’t start early and they wouldn’t even arrange a taxi for us the night before (front desk sent us to doorman, who refused and sent us to front desk).

We loved our stay at Loews and would look at others in other cities. That view from our room was fantastic!
Pros:

The hotel is so welcoming. We are greeted at the door by friendly staff outside and inside. Location great. Felt safe walking. The interior lobby is stylish without being pretentious. Great artwork. The huge tv screens perfect during World Cup. Checked in easily and staff courteous. Great way to start our first vacation in Chicago. The room is lovely with a fabulous window view of the city and rooftop bar area. The bed is so comfortable and great pillows. The bathroom also fantastic with very nice towels. I think maybe an extra hook for hanging towels or clothes would be smart. The conditioner was empty in the shower so we requested refill which they did. The AC worked well. The breakfast restaurant exceptional food, yet not for the brewed coffee (very weak) even with extra shot of espresso. Staff good service and extensive menu. Great Road 66 decor! The complimentary pour over in the quick cafe was so nice but we could not take advantage of it but one time for times listed. Too bad they don’t stay open just a bit longer. We ordered a 9:30 dinner at the bar and it was fair but glad it was open. The waitress was so nice and friendly, we were tired and it was a late dinner, and she made us feel special.

Cons:

I think the parking fee is too costly. We were glad we didn’t take a car into the city. I think maybe opening the pool earlier than July 1st would have added a lot to our trip. Even to just sit near it would have been nice.
