We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was approx our 6th visit.Standards have never declined over time.First class service by all the staff.Truly so well looked after.Food is exceptional , the restaurant is staffed by Claudio and his team of proffesional waiters .We have already booked for Christmas .Best hotel experience we have ever had!The only thing which could be improved is the provision of tea/coffee making facility in the room.
The hotel was recommended by friends who have stayed at the hotel for many years ,We were not disappointed at all ,The quality of the rooms also the food was 5 star . BAR SERVICE ALSO WAS VERY GOOD ,looking forward to returning
Zell am See is a special place, as is this hotel! It is faultless and my husband and I feel like it’s a home away from home. The food, location and spa facilities are all brilliant, and the staff are a real attribute to the hotel.
We didn’t ski this time as just wanted to relax and made use of the spa and relaxation room where hot drinks, water and snacks are provided whilst you rest. We also had a massage in the spa and highlight recommend it - the therapist was very good and the views out of the spa were striking of the mountains. There are also plenty of beautiful walks and cafes around the area.
The food was incredible in the hotel. Breakfast is always a treat and makes us look forward to getting out of bed, whilst dinner feels like fine dining.
The worst part of the holiday was leaving! Already thinking about the next trip back to this wonderful hotel! Thanks to all for a fabulous week.
Everything about our stay was excellent. Would love to return.
Superb hotel with lovely bedrooms, spa facilities and friendly, welcoming staff. The restaurant was really nice, with a different menu every night. Great to have a kids menu with children’s favourites on. The hotel transport up to the slopes is free and a great added bonus. The only negative I have is that the bar staff were quite challenging when we asked for tap water and reluctant to give us this. It is available in the restaurant and spa, so unsure why the bar would be different.
Fantastic hotel with reasonable price. Excellent food and winelist. Nice pool and the different saunas are wonderful. Friedly and efficient staff. Feels like home
We had a lovely few days at Hotel Tirlolerhof and would totally recommend it. The hotel was beautiful. We had a lovely upgraded room which was clean and comfortable. The location was excellent with easy access to the gondola and Village. It was quiet and the food was great. The staff were outstanding, all so friendly and helpful. We didn’t want to leave.
We had a great stay at the hotel; its in a great location, the staff were really friendly and the room spacious and comfortable (junior suite). We had the 4 course evening meal gourmet package but before getting this package I would suggest checking the sample menus as the choices are not 'international' and may not appeal to many. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and an al a carte in the hotel.
The swimming pool is very impressive and has the best water jets I've ever found in a pool. There is also a jacuzzi but that was cold when we visited.
The small village centre and lake are just a few minutes (reasonably flat) walk away. The hotel offers free shuttles to the local ski slope (XExpress) and provides a free public transport card (which can even be used to get back to Salzburg on the last day if needed). We took the free shuttle and then walked the 100m to the catch the local buses to the other resorts (Schmittenhohe and Kitzsteinhorn) - we were not skiing, just sightseeing and both were worth going to (including the 6 cable car journey to the top of Kitzsteinhorn).
Great Family run hotel, excellent staff and facilities. Never disappoints.
Hotel Tirolerhof is warm and welcoming, maintaining and delivering excellent facilities. Every single member of staff we met was cheerful, friendly, polite and provided best possible service. Most of the staff are long term employees which in my
Opinion says a lot. The meals are excellent with regular entertaining at night, that is why we keep spending number of weeks every year for the past 35 years at this Hotel.
We really enjoyed out stay at the Tirolerhof - staff were excellent and we received a lovely welcome. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable and cleaned daily. The food was excellent. On a half board basis, there was a huge variety for breakfast and they also provided a hot dish and cakes at 4pm daily, before a 4 course dinner. On a couple of occasions a buffet was served which gave more choice. All the food was high quality with local influences, and beautifully presented.
The sauna, steam room etc was well maintained and we enjoyed a massage with the two therapists. The pool is a bit small and was overpowered with chemicals which was the only down side. The local main swimming pool is excellent and a 15-20 minute bus trip away is the Tauern Spa which is best to pre book.
The lakeside park is about 100m from the hotel and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. The area is beautiful and we had lots of snow for skiing and snowboarding.
Our whole experience at the hotel was outstanding . The service provided was exceptional with staff always ready to respond to guests request . The rooms were very clean and quiet and the beds very comfortable. The location ws ideal: near to both the Centre and the lifts . The breakfast was everything that you expected in Austria and the dinner offered a wide range of choices ( although perhaps more typically Austrian dishes could be added, ) Very good selection of wines . The 16.00 tea break was a great way to unwind after a day skiing. The whole family very much enjoyed tbe pool and sauna which were a great way to relax in the evening
Definitely a place to recommend to friends and we will certainly be returning
Yes the location was perfect. Close to shops and slopes.
We had a lovely relaxing stay at the wonderful Tirolerhof Hotel We arrived late evening and were greeted with warm welcome Our waiting staff were amazing and took care of all our needs thank you Our lovely lady who cleaned our room was exceptional and always greeted us with a lovely smile and good morning We enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners and they were of same standard as last time we were here However our holiday was spoiled on our last evening when we went to reception to confirm our early morning taxi to Salzburg Airport The on duty man said it was impossible to order a taxi as busiest weekend in the year and all taxis booked up but we could reach Salzburg by bus or train!! We were devastated as my daughter had organised taxi travel both ways! This was refuted initially but as she had emails on her phone confirming arrival and return taxi transport from Tirolerhof the two reception staff changed tack and very kindly told us to take a seat and they would check for a taxi They did find us a taxi so we could relax a bit more as it was a very stressful situation!
I would have given top rating to Tirolerhof if we had not had to experience a worrying wait for our taxi to Salzburg Airport
We had a fantastic stay! Location, accommodation, staff, food and facilities exceeded all expectations!
From check in with a glass of fizz, to the little gift on departure … nothing was too much trouble and the hotel is spotless.
Live music in the restaurant and bar was a nice touch and Wolfgang offering a snowshoe day to guests. Coupled with the extensive Spa area and pool we didn’t really feel the need to venture out on the evenings.
The food was varied and incredible! They have fantastic chefs with a wide range of influence in the food. Emil and Laszio served our table every day.
Really couldn’t fault this hotel…. Would only say to take a travel kettle though if you like a morning coffee in bed. Would love to return in the future.
Just back from a fabulous stay at the Hotel Tirolerhof, my husband and I chose this hotel as a base for a weeks skiing and it couldn’t of been more perfect! Just a 5 min walk from the lift, the hotel has a heated ski and boot room, the pool and spa facilities were pure bliss (especially the hydro pool to sort out achy muscles!) 2 mins walk into town, a lovely breakfast & supper polite and helpful staff.. would 100% recommend.
An excellent stay yet again. The staff are the most professional and courteous one could ever imagine. The chefs and kitchen staff produce the most phenomenal standard of food time and time again. Nothing is a bother to anyone and my stay was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. In addition, the Elements Spa was stunning and the treatments superb...I'm already looking forward to returning for a 3rd stay next year
This is a great hotel with fantastic attentive staff and everything you need on a ski holiday. Great position 5 minutes walk from CityExpress lift and very close to the lake and town centre. Good food with good value wine and beer. Huge choice at breakfast with excellent omelettes made to order. Excellent huge bar area with real fire. Live music several nights. Spa and pool small but good and not busy when we were there. Only downside is the skiing in Zell is limited if you like clocking up the miles but with the Superskicard you can ski different resorts every day for not much more money. We will be back next year.
The hotel is welcoming, spotless and has excellent amenities. The staff are efficient and friendly. The food is fine dining standard with a great and varied choice supported by a lavish salad buffet. The location is good close to the centre.
This is our second visit to the Tirolerhof. Excellent!!
The moment we walked into the hotel, and were greeted by Karl, who was extremely friendly and polite, we knew everything was going to be fine.
Our room, 122, was excellent, large, with an uber comfortable bed and pleasant sitting area. The balcony was a good size, and we enjoyed sitting there, in the lovely sunshine, albeit with jackets on, absorbing our Vitamin D !
The food was delicious, portions were perfect, and Claudio, our main server was ideal. He remembered us from previous visits, and said he liked having regular guests to serve. The breakfasts, afternoon teas and dinners were all delightful, and we didn’t eat anything at lunchtime, as we were still satisfied after our breakfast !
All servers were good & attentive, but Claudio was really our dedicated man.
He knew after the first day, our wine choice 🍷!!
The other waiter who interacted with us, another Italian chap, with moustache, and a look alike of a famous person ( Manuel, in Faulty Towers series !!), was also excellent.
The other little perk, was that it was my wife’s birthday on 25th January, and we were both delighted when we saw we had been given a lovely bottle of Prosecco in the room. We took it down to the bar area, and enjoyed it with our afternoon tea. It was good that the barman had no objection to us drinking it there….but it had been given by the hotel !! The bartenders were excellent, friendly and interactive, and a pleasure to be with.
The added bonus was that the weather was extremely good during our week, meaning we could be outside daily.
We both rate this hotel as being very warm, in both senses of the word, friendly and welcoming. Our rating is 5*, not just 4* superior, as we cannot think of anything more that could be done to improve it…excellent accommodation, and super staff.
