It was a lovely, quiet and memorable stay at Whitney Manor.
Pros:

Lovely location overlooking the St. Lawrence River (Penthouse Suite only) and part of Milton Island. A glorious full moon accompanied us from the balcony during our stay.

Now and in the near future is the time to book these penthouse views of the river, as in 10 years or so the trees of the riverfront properties, in front of the Manor, will completely block this view.

We also liked the easy access to Kingston or Gananoque for restaurants and sightseeing.

Elegant, cosy, old-world charm near the St.Lawrence
Pros:

Nestled on a quiet street close to the River, Beautiful lot, trees, landscape. The Manor had an old charm and was so elegantly decorated, yet felt very welcoming and homey. The Penthouse suite was well furnished, fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable also. Loved the balcony and view, just wish it wasn't winter, next time will book in the summer! ;) Stunning sunrise with the mist coming off the St.Lawrence. Everything is well thought out as to what a guest might need including a Nespresso! What a treat to stay here! Thank you.

I couldn’t figure the TV system out. I think the batteries in one of the remote controls were dead.

Eine außergewöhnliche und fantastische Unterkunft

All Suites Whitney Manor ist mir beim Durchstöbern der Buchungsseite sofort durch das historische Gebäude aufgefallen. Es ist ein altehrwürdiges Anwesen und es hat Spaß gemacht, hier Gast gewesen zu sein. Die Suiten haben alles, was man braucht plus eine tolle Aussicht auf den Fluss.

Cons:

Wer persönlichen Kontakt haben möchte, wird hier im Normalfall nicht dazu kommen. Die Anreise ist automatisiert organisiert. Wir erhielten über die Buchungsseite alle Nachrichten, die wir zum Beziehen der Suite brauchten. Hätten wir Probleme gehabt, gab es zwei Telefonnummern, die wir allerdings nicht brauchten. Noch schöner wäre für uns ein persönlicher Empfang gewesen.

Sunrise on the banks of St. Lawrence River!
Pros:

Great location, easy access and outstanding apartment. The patio on the roof was really the biggest asset ... from dawn to dusk with great view on the St. Lawrence River.

Cons:

There is no escalator, but this wouldn't make sense in this old house!!!

The space was excellent! Really beautiful for a two night stay.

Cons:

More kitchen supplies, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, dishes, glasses. Access to a BBQ. Surprising that with such a beautiful deck there was no BBQ available.

Staying there felt like living in a graceful historic manor, with all the comforts of home and the touches of a boutique

was enchanted by the historic elegance of the building — the beautifully preserved limestone walls, the character-packed architectural details, and the sense of stepping into a refined past. At the same time, its modern comforts (spacious suites, full kitchens, private patios) created a seamless blend of old-world charm and contemporary luxury.

Cons:

Honestly, very little. If I had to be very particular, I would say the Wi-Fi could be a bit stronger — but it hardly took away from the overall wonderful experience.
