Smart Apart Living - Wien Hauptbahnhof - self check-in

Wir hatten nur Handtücher für zwei statt drei Personen. Dann wurden auch nur zweimal Betten bezogen statt drei obwohl ich für drei gebucht hatte. Bei den kochutensiluen hätte ich mir vielleicht noch einen Kochlöffel oder schöpfkelle gewünscht und evtl.mehr kleine löffel statt nur zwei.

Stanza al piano terra molto umida (cattivo odore, vestiti e asciugamani impregnati di umidità). Illuminazione nella stanza poco funzionale (tutto acceso o tutto spento). Scarsità di punti per appendere abiti e asciugamani. Qualche ragno e scarafaggio sul pavimento entrato dall'esterno.

- Apartamento HÚMEDO. Tiene una climatización radiante (en la estructura) y al no haber ventilación (una micro ventana en la entrada que no sirve de nada) y enfriar, todo se humedecía. Cama y cojines húmedos, la ropa, las toallas costaba que se secaran y la alfombrilla de baño no se llegaba a secar de un día a otro estando tendida. Al entrar después de varias horas el olor a húmedo es muy fuerte y desagradable incluso dejando la ventana abierta en su máxima capacidad. Además tuvimos que buscar en Chat GPT como se utilizaba porque es poco usual y no hay instrucciones de uso.
- Las 'almohadas' no son almohadas. Son unos 'cojines' muy deformados que tuvimos que doblar por la mitad para usarlos como almohada.
- No hay sábanas. Solo una funda protectora de colchón (que no sabemos si la cambian) y 2 nórdicos individuales.
- No hay espacio suficiente para dejar tus cosas; no hay armarios, solo hay 2 perchas, en la cama no hay espacio para mesitas de noche... demasiado 'cubículo'.
- Luz; solo hay una posible luz para encender y apagar, o todo o nada. No hay una luz de ambiente media para la noche. Además la luz del lavabo no funciona por la noche ya que tienes que encender primero toda la luz del apartamento, funciona con un interruptor inalámbrico al igual que el extractor. Hay un controlador para una tira LED mediocre de 0,5m. que no se puede cambiar de color ni ajustar el brillo, no funciona el controlador bien.
- Wifi: El wifi iba hiper lento, para usar la Smart TV tuvimos que compartir datos móviles de nuestros teléfonos para conectar la TV ya que sino el Netflix no cargaba.
- Seguridad: No se puede cerrar la puerta desde dentro mediante ningún pestillo ni llave.
- Comunicación con dueños: Inexistente, les comunicamos el problema de la humedad y no obtuvimos repuesta. Aún estamos esperando.

Одна була проблема. Там індуктивна плита, але посуд на якому приготувати їжу не підходив для цієї плитки. Отже їжу ми не змогли приготувати і наші продукти були цього приводу зіпсовані😹. Дуже прикро. У подальшому будьте уважні до цього питання

Now let’s move on to the major downsides.

First of all, check-in. The hotel has a modern self-check-in system without a reception desk. In theory, you should simply receive your room number and key card. In reality, it was a completely different story.

Our stay had already been fully paid for in advance, but the check-in machine insisted that we had to pay again. Nobody replied to our Booking.com messages, and it took them a long time to answer the phone. I spent an entire hour trying to reach someone! Eventually they fixed the issue, but we lost an hour of our vacation and a lot of unnecessary nerves.

We had booked a room with breakfast. Of course, breakfast isn’t served in the hotel because they don’t have any facilities for that. Instead, it’s provided by the restaurant next door—which, unsurprisingly, was closed. I called the hotel, and the only response I got was, “Oh no…” That was it. At that point I’d had enough, so we simply went elsewhere and paid for breakfast ourselves.

Strangely enough, despite everything, we decided to extend our stay. We were told over the phone that we couldn’t extend our current reservation, so we had to make a new booking, check out completely, and check in again. That meant wasting another few hours. We were also told we couldn’t leave our luggage anywhere because “there’s nobody at the hotel.” Fantastic.

Unfortunately, it got even worse. Surprise—nobody sent us the access code for that cursed self-service key machine. We waited another hour before anyone replied. I spoke to both a woman and a man from customer support.

While we were trying to sort everything out, a family with three small children arrived—and they had exactly the same problem. Later that evening, another family with young children showed up, and they were in the same situation. We were all left waiting for about an hour and a half, constantly being told to “call back in ten minutes.

The AC wasn't working

Downsides:

Noise isolation could be better — we could hear a neighbor's small child from early morning.
Floors weren't spotless — some hair in a few spots.

These are minor deficiencies and didn't spoil the stay. Overall, great price-to-quality ratio and we were very satisfied. Recommended, as long as they maintain this standard.
