Good location but horrible hotel

No food, no drink machines, no pool, only give you 1 towel set
AC don’t work
Blind system broke and almost electrocute my boyfriend
Staff not helpful
Didn’t share all of the benefits of staying there which was included in a fee

I was very disappointed.
Pros:

The location.

Cons:

The room had a smell. The phone didn’t work. I called to have the phone fixed and it never happened. Housekeeping only came once. I had a king suite and the bed was definitely a queen and very low to the ground.

Pros:

We had a wonderful time at the Hyatt Centric. The rooms and bathrooms were incredibly spacious, and the location is super convenient—an easy walk to tons of local attractions. We really appreciated the complimentary coffee, water, and fruit available daily. To top it off, the Onsie Mexican restaurant was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.

Cons:

The only downside was a glitch with our booking.com reservation—even though I had prepaid, the hotel system showed a balance due and they tried to charge me again. The front desk was able to sort it out and fix it, but it was a bit annoying to deal with right at check-in. Overall though, a great stay and I'd highly recommend it!

Meh, choose elsewhere.
Pros:

Perfectly fine. A bit tired, a bit uninspired decor and amenities in the small room. Elevators loud because each room abuts the shaft. Elevators were not working well when we were there -- only 1 or 2 of the 4-6 elevators were working, including Service elevators. Waits up to 10 minutes, and since we were on floor 20, took forever to get through all the stops. Staff didn't tell us at checkin, we had to find out the next morning thru experience and it made us late. Not nice. Didn't get better in the 3 days we were there. No compensation offered to us -- they did give a single free drink ticket to my family in another room. Bathroom was awkwardly set up (couldn't keep a bathmat down and still open the shower door) and shower leaked into the main room.

This is downtown Chicago, there are SO many choices from Hyatt and competitors -- I recommend you choose elsewhere. If this was a budget hotel, I'd be fine with everything but this was $300+ night.

Bright spots: housekeeping was excellent and even put a bouquet in a vase for us, nice touch. Breakfast (not free, not hotel owned) at the Mexican place attached was quite good.

Love it ! It was a pleasure staying
