The scene from the property is great.
Manque d une kitchenette avec microndes et plaques de cuisson, literie pas du tout confortable, mal de dos toute la semaine, le reste etait super ! Les femmes de menages passent touts jours changer draps et serviettes. Coin exterieur piscine tres bien aussi
We had a great 4 night stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is not ideal for those that do not like to walk. not many restaurants near by but plenty of bakery's . Banks and mini marts are conveniently located near by
Traveling with our 10 yr old son we spent a week in this hotel. We absolutely loved it! Although the hotel is a no frills hotel it had everything we needed. Spacious room, breath taking views, small balcony to enjoy said views. Amazing pool and lounge area. Good breakfast. Great location!
After spending the first night in a noisy room directly under the dining room we asked for a change and were moved to a much better room with a fantasic view of the caldera. Staff were very obliging and arranged it quickly with a minimum of fuss. Greatly appreciated. .
We came here to get married and our family and us stayed at Caldera Butterfly Villas. It is a family run hotel and is the perfect place to stay in Santorini. With a 24/7 bakery across the road, supermarket in walking distance and a million dollar view this is the place to be. Bus picks you up across the road at the mini mart and you can get around anywhere. Not to crazy loud like Fira which makes it more enjoyable. A gorgeous pool to enjoy the view. When we come back to visit this is where we will stay! Bus to Fira and then from Fira you can take the Perissa bus as long as you let them know where you want to get off!
Can not share enough good things.
Thank you for the perfect honeymoon/wedding stay!
A very positive experience overall. The hotel didn't charge us for breakfast (5 Euros per person). It's a nice hotel with an amazing view. If you stay at this hotel you should rent a car.
Great hotel with spectacular views of calderra
Breakfast is very basic though
Need taxi to get to thira which costs about 7 euro
Hotel was perfect.
This was the first of the three hotels we stayed in the islands and I'd rate this one number three. There is a great pool and amazing view. The cab to Fira where all the bars/nightlife is 8 euros. There is no transportation offered to and from port or airport. Rooms are clean and air conditioner works great. Front desk not as helpful as our other stays, could've been the language barrier.
If you have a child don't expect cooking items from hotel manager ex: cooker. you won't get what you pay.
Faulty cooker exploding circuit no power for few hours.
Friendly staff. Simple, clean hotel. Nice pool with a stunning view. Rooms face the caldera and the sunset view is amazing. Lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy the great view. A little ways from Fira and we enjoyed the bit of peace from the hustle and bustle.
Room had a great view of the Caldera! Entire hotel had a very private feel. Loved that the hotel was on the outskirts of Fira because it didn't have the crowds. Was not quite walking distance to most activities however.
Didn't have our online reservation via Expedia when we arrived, tried to send us in a 40$/night hotel instead, ants in the room, cleaned our refrigerator and threw away a brand new bottle of wine that was not even opened...
The view is great, but terrible experience with this hotel
Loved the spacious rooms, beautiful pool and lounges. Would go again
Good: perfect view, super helpful staff
Bad: weak wifi signal in the room, less facility compare to neighbour hotels (no bars, no kettles in the room, limited breakfast selection)
Overall, still amazing hotel to stay !!!
I stayed at the Caldera Butterfly Villas for three nights from May 28 - June1. I would stay there again! The woman who runs the hotel was very kind and helpful as I had arrived from Cairo not feeling well and she offered to help me with any medical needs. My room was awesome and with its own "balcony" with the most incredible view of the Caldera and sunset. The internet signal was not strong in my room and she gave me a booster unit that made it great. The hotel is a 30-45 minute walk to Fira, but there is a grocery store, bakery and several restaurants all across the street or within 10 minute or less walks of the hotel. It is an ideal place to stay if you want peace and quiet and what Santorini is all about, which is that view! And at a reasonable price.
Only stayed one night, wish we had booked our whole stay in Santorini there. Rooms good size and well maintained. Comfortable bed, our room was next to the pool which suited us. Fabulous views and at a fantastic price.
Great value for the price. Excellent views of the caledera with swimming pool and balcony space. Room is furnished with dining space and a small kitchenette. Downside is that it is difficult to reach the town without a car. While the distance is walkable (20-30 minutes), the path is next to the main road and unpleasant. There are a few restaurants within 10-15 minutes' walk, but choices are few. In sum, I would definitely recommend staying here if you have your own form of transportation or intend to stay extended amounts of time in the hotel to enjoy the spectacular views. Otherwise, for first-time visitors interested in exploring the rest of the island, would recommend staying somewhere closer to town.
We had an enjoyable week despite mixed weather.
The room was freshly decorated and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was simple and plentiful.
There is parking available at the hotel if you hire a car.
We visited the volcano, Akrotiri, Oia, Skaros Rock - all recommended.
Shops and a bakery are nearby by for food, and Santos winery is within easy walking distance of the hotel and worth a visit.
We would stay here again, and probably will!
