My room was nice and clean. Bathroom was clean.
Reception was great.
My window view was horrible.
My bed was so uncomfortable,with a big saggy dip on the right side.

Great hotel, in a great location. Walkable to Newquay and the beach. Great views from the restaurant/bar looking out to the the sea. Bed was very comfortable, i had a great nights sleep. I would recommend.
Car park is small but you can book a space, i would advise doing this. If all else fails there is free parking from 6pm - 10am in nearby streets. It is a little tired but the bed was very comfortable and a excellent night sleep was had.
Great location overlooking the sea.
My room had an awful noise, akin to a wind trap constantly which made it impossible to sleep a d generally annoying. Night porter managed to move me to a spare room so I could get some sleep

Very dated and in need of work
Breakfast was good and food. Staff were great and very helpfull. Got parking by the door as partner is disabled.shops were close to hotel.
First room sink plug in bathroom let the water out so couldnt use sink to wash. We was put in a room with a wash room so was unable to have a bath after a long journey down and shower head kept falling downwards we was moved.
Second room wall lights didnt work only one was mended. Sink plug again let all the water out.
The bath panel was not fitted correctly and blew and banged all night and due to this we had no sleep and we had a long journey back home after having no sleep. When we came down to breakfast this morning guests were talking to us and each other complaining of lack of sleep due to issues in their rooms. Sadly i agree with other guests we wont be staying here again and wasnt even offered compensation.
Good location & great pub/food
The Gent at check in was wonderful and seemed to genuinely care!
We felt size of the bed for the size of the room was poor. We always look forward to staying away from home Nd relaxing watching tv in the evening howver the bed was tiny! Yes we are not shrinking violets hower in this day & age most hotels use king size beds.
We also felt the shower quality wasn’t great either- such a shame as the room refurb was lovely!
Worth mentioning that when checking out we were not asked how our stay was which is very unsual as whenever we have checked out anywhere else the reception team always ask & seem to genuinely care.
We had a huge window with the sea front at the foot of the bed it was gorgeous!

Nothing wrong
Everything about this hotel was perfect. The location was ideal as it is in the town centre, we had a very warm welcome when we arrived, everything was explained to us. Our room was very spacious and clean, there were plenty of tea bags, coffee etc...the shower was lovely and hot, the bed was very comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was fantastic a good range to choose from and because we booked the breakfast with the hotel stay we were also able to choose from the continental breakfast options as well as ordering off the breakfast menu. The breakfast itself was delicious and well cooked.

The internal decor in corridors and stairwells is scuffed and crumbling.
A big old seaside hotel that has been modernised and made to feel more friendly. Very well run, with comfortable rooms and a great location.
It's still a big old seaside hotel which you notice in the maze of characterless corridors. Bin collection at 5am so go for a sea view room if you van.
The location was perfect.
