Cons:

I wasn't able to get the chance to get comfortable with the fact I was not told that I have to get sleep with 3 complain strangers in the room. I lost the money I invested in the reservation and ended up having to pay for somewhere else to stay.

Private Queen
Pros:

The pricing for the location was phenomenal. While the hotel is not directly off of the river, it was only a couple of bus stops away from the river walk and other main attractions. The red line was also only a block away. This was perfect for me since public transit in Chicago is very reliable, so getting around was not an issue. The room was also very quiet, so it was easy to get rest at night. And while my room was very small, it was also pretty cozy.

Cons:

My room was TINY, but for such a great price, it wasn't a deal breaker. I also was traveling alone. My room would've been too small for more than just one person. (I booked the standard private queen I believe.) Also the room didn't feel the cleanest, but it was overall fine. The overhead light in my room kept flickering and at times would go out completely. Again this wasn't a deal breaker for me since I wasn't spending much time in my room, but it was annoying. Lastly, it got very cold in the room (I was visiting in February) and the room didn't have individual temperature control. Of course the duvet on the bed was enough to keep me warm while sleeping, but anytime I got out to bed, for example to use the bathroom, I would be shivering.
