Hotel and staff are very nice. The food in the restaurant is excellent!! The provided breakfast has a lot of options, both American and Icelandic. We didn’t have time to enjoy the pool but it looked very nice and saw a number of people using it. The hotel is quiet and our room was large and had a great view.
Excellent stay, great food and dining experience!
Nice location out in the mountains. Food was excellent at their restaurant. The canyon baths were amazing! It is a little bit away from everything, but that’s a lot of its appeal.
Fantastic restaurant and walking distance to great hiking.
Terrible beds and pillows.
Misleading pictures as they show a spa that is not the hotel spa but rather a very costly spa nearly. They do have a steam room and hot pools and a cold plunge pool but it looks nothing like the natural springs on the Expedia profile.
Amazing food and service
The restaurant on site was incredible. We ate dinner there: scallop appetizer, cod, salad, and pea ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Likewise, the breakfast buffet was delightful with a good array of choices.
The best hotel in Iceland.
Hotsprings advertised can only be accessed via a guided tour and only till 5pm. Was disappointed.
Hotel was clean and comfortable, food was wonderful, and staff were superb! Would recommend Hotel Husafell to anyone.
Use of pools, sauna with great views. Beautiful area
Unique property with amazing views and hot pools. Food was spectacular. Far from city feel with a modern yet country feel. Highly recommend taking at least a night and exploring the area. Glacier tour , water falls… fabulous…. Staff warm and accommodating.
Friendly staff and fantastic food
The property is beautiful and the staff was so friendly and helpful. And, i have to say that Clara at the front desk was the absolute best in terms of trying to help us with anything we needed from hiking recommendations to restaurants to anything else we needed.
There are fabulous hikes right from the property and easy access to the nearby glacier and other adventures.
Lastly, the food was really good! And, the chef was willing to be flexible with the menu items to meet our dietary requirements. Great job! Oh, and don't miss the deserts!! they were really, really great!
Staff is incredible. Fantastic Hotel in a remote area. Surrounded by nature and super friendly people.
The food at the restaurant is Michelin Star worthy but very reasonably priced.
Highly recommend this hotel.
Just felt like as soon as I checked in. That I knew my room would look at the parking lot instead of the mountains.
Finally stayed here during winter when I saw room rates were a little lower after wanting to check it out for a long time and must sadly conclude it is overpriced. I know, it is Iceland, but even so. Husafell is lovely and great to visit. The local art/artist is so unique and it is nearby to the history at the Snorri center. But the hotel is not worth it. For what you pay, the beds don't even have a headboard. The hotel maintains exclusive access to its nearby Canyon Baths/hot springs but I was disappointed to learn there is an additional charge to visit them - even for hotel guests. $70 more seems excessive. The breakfast was lovely (no buffet in the winter) and the staff were kind to let us know via a wake up call when there were northern lights outside. (Less welcome was the smoke alarm due to staff smoking in the kitchen!) Recommend the area for a hike or a day trip.
We had a wonderful two night stay here and managed to see the northern lights outside the hotel after dinner! The food is delicious and the rooms are clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed using the thermal baths outside after a full day out. Lots to do in the local area including lava cave tour, glacier cave. Canyon baths and waterfalls! I’d really recommend this hotel. The staff were fantastic and very helpful.
Great hotel. Staff are friendly. Northern lights wake-up call was a nice touch.
Food at the restaurant is expensive but the meals are really good. Definitely remote and need to have activities planned and some backup snacks, alcohol and necessities if you don’t want to pay for everything. But great relaxing stay. Access to the public pool was also nice.
What a wonderful experience my 3 day stay was. All staff were friendly and welcoming and my room was beautiful. Every comfort had been provided for. It's spotlessly clean throughout and warm. The restaurant had an evening menu which was outstanding. The chefs cooked wonderful food that was brautifully presented brought to the table by friendly waitresses/waiters who knew what the ingredients were. There are some walks nearby too. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent place to stay with hot pools and superb restaurant. Breakfast was ok and staff are extremely helpful.
