It seemed clean, and in a good location. It looked like a fairly well kept hotel.
The room had an unpleasant odour, despite looking clean. The room was small and the bathroom sink was tiny. Nowhere to hang jackets or clothes.
Arrivati, non avevano preparato camera per tre persone per cui mancavano le lenzuola e asciugamani per il terzo letto (divano letto). Chiamati più volte al telefono (in albergo non c'è nessuno dello staff- self checking) alla fine hanno risposto e ci hanno detto dove prendere noi le lenzuola al piano terra. Colazione discreta internazionale a pagamento.
A parte questo disguido nel complesso benino. Manca parcheggio ma si trova sicuramente qualche strada più in là gratuitamente. Posizione buona abbastanza centrale.

Beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious. Very clean rooms.
Location was 10 minute walk from centre.
The check in access was exactly 3.01 - the rooms were ready from 2pm (staff were sitting in the corridor) so it is annoying we couldn’t access earlier. The lobby became like a holding pen for people waiting to get into rooms. The superior room was not as per the images, it was smaller, the sofa bed when rolled out hit the wall and stopped any exit to the door or bathroom which is hugely dangerous. It was disappointing vs photos.
The outside of the property looked very poor and the lack of staff is odd as you have nobody to talk to about any issues.
There are other hotels in the area not on booking .com I would choose that had some facilities that were more comfortable to stay in for 5 nights.
2 nights at Alva would be fine as it’s a basic no frills place to stay - but a longer stay I would avoid here.
It was not a cheap stay so the expectation was more.
Hotel en zona industrial a 10 minutos andando del centro de Reikiavik. Sin recepción ni personal atendiendo. Tuvimos un problema con la cerradura digital de la puerta y respondieron bien y rápido en el teléfono de soporte. Desayuno correcto para los estándares islandeses.
La zona no tiene ningún atractivo. No hay bares ni restaurantes cerca.

Aamiaiseen olisi halunnut jotain vaihtelua 3 aamupalan reissulla. Toki mahansa sai täyteen mutta vaihtelua olisin kaivannut.

TV did not work, and no reply from staff on resolving this issue.
It was clean. It was quiet.
Internet worked about half the time. Several stairs to climb to get to the bathroom. Breakfast was pretty skimpy. A flight of stairs (with baggage) to climb just to enter the building. Pretty expensive compared to US standards.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel una sola notte come punto d’appoggio a Reykjavik per poi spostarci. Per quello che ci è servita è andata più che bene. Parcheggio comodo anche gratuito nelle vicinanze.
Lavandino in bagno davvero piccolo ma per una sola notte è accettabile.
Ontbijt in ernaast gelegen restaurant (bereikbaar via een gangetje binnendoor).
Prima restaurant; voor diner ook goed te bezoeken, maar houd rekening met groepen toeristen die daar eten.
Kamer was lekker ruim, schoon, functioneel (zoals meestal hotels in IJsland).
Locatie op loopafstand centrum en (uitstekend) zwembad.
Zelf-check-in; dus geen personeel gezien.
Gratis parkeergelegenheid in parallelstraat.
Modern rooms, walking distance to city and free parking nearby.
They said if rooms get cleaned we can check in earlier but when we reached out they wouldn’t let us. They had bathroom on main floor but told us there weren’t any
