Cons:

1. bathroom was tiny (with a tiniest sink!!!). called customer service (no staff onsite!) and was told that this is "economy" room, upgrade was 140 Euro PER NIGHT!!!!
2. no parking on the street (3 free spots only). a tip - go to the main road, upstreet (about 250m) is a residential zone with no paid parking (free within white lines).

Clean, modern hotel in Reykjavik
Pros:

The room was very clean and modern. I requested a single room since I was traveling alone. It was the perfect size. The bathroom was clean. The facilities were self check-in. The code to enter the facility and the room worked great. Before the room was ready, I was able to go into the lobby to wait for my room. The lobby had a restroom. There is a code activated storage room for luggage which was convenient. There is a market one block away that is well stocked. This wasn’t a huge problem for me since I like to walk, but the city center is about 20 min walking distance. The country is safe and so the walk was nice. I was able to take Flybus directly from the KEV airport to the Reykjavík BSI terminal, and then directly to the this hotel. That was the best part. Just buy a ticket at the airport & get a hotel transfer to Alva Hotel

Nice staff and self service

Cons:

Noise from the corridor in the morning (hoovering, cleaning), so lack of good sleep.
Also, room was amazingly small even if for one person only
