Pros:

Great location in a cute thatched roof building, food at the linked pub was great.

Cons:

There was no A/C and the fan wasn’t up to the job making the room unbearably hot.

We had an excellent stay. The staff were all excellent, polite and courteous and efficient.
Pros:

Our stay was very enjoyable and up to expectations. We have stayed at the hotel before and would choose it again. Its location for us near family is great. Nice to have the tea and coffee options in the room and nice biscuits. Breakfast was nice and hot and the coffee was excellent. The Sourdough bread/toast was first class and real butter with a good selection of Jams etc.

Cons:

There was no fresh fruit at the buffet breakfast area. No air conditioning and in the heatwave it would have been appreciated. One single fan was not really enough to keep us cool. The tiles in the shower area need to be re grouted as dingy in part. . We were in room 4 and the bed is a double, the room would take a kingsize and would be better.

Wonderful inn, perfectly located to tour the New Forest
Pros:

The rooms were magnificent. The staff friendly and efficient. The food very good!

Cons:

Not the inn's fault but there is a busy road on one side that you can hear from the pub garden. However, you do not hear it from the rooms at all.

Pros:

Everything was perfect, the staff so nice, the food very good, the place is as wonderful as it appears in the photos, we chose this place because its proximity to the port, sadly to access there you will need a taxy or a rent car, because is in the country side, but I guess a lot of people will look for it.

Without hesitation I would recommend this to anybody visiting Southampton.

Great little spot for relaxing, exploring and enjoying Hampshire and the New Forest.
Pros:

Great location nice atmosphere good food and selection of drinks, well laid out with the restaurant and bar separated from the rooms, and a lovely comfortable room.

Cons:

Very little to moan about, the toilet seat in the bathroom was a bit loose but apart from that all great.

Adorable local Inn with great proximity to cruise port
Pros:

This inn is adorable and totally local. It had an incredible historic feel while being up to date and in great condition. The decor was thoughtful and having the local pub onsite was so special. We were there during warm weather so we really enjoyed the pub garden and afternoon cocktails as well as a chance to chat with locals. The food at the pub was incredible for both breakfast and dinner. We stayed here in an advance of a cruise out of Southhampton and it was a nice alternative to the bustle of the port area and only about 15 minutes drive to reach the cruise drop off area.

Cons:

We really enjoyed everything about the property, but with the warming world, they may want to think about investing in air con. It was quite warm in the rooms and difficult to cool off with just a couple of fans.
