Staff and lodging is good, ac works. The pool was not filled upon our arrival. Don’t buy anything from the vendors on the beach they will overcharge you by insane amounts. Walk down to the other vendors and shops for better deals.

Fantastic staff, very quiet and confortable place. We visited most of the hotels and Airbnbs in Cape Maclear and Tranquilo was was by far one of the most clean places in the area.

Generally super nice and pleasant place. It does become a bit annoying and unpleasant though when vendors are constantly pursuing you to sell their boat trips and art inside the lodge.

The lake was lovely, however, Annie's Lodge was a disappointment.
- The shower was dirty
- Large quantities of ants under and on the toilet seat and wash basin
- The bath mat was a toilet seat cover!
- Our bed was crawling with ants, and had to sleep in the spare bed

Decent, quiet spot on the beach. Breakfast and other food is a bit disappointing. We were almost robbed when someone entered the room in the middle of the night and we woke up just in time to chase them away - but beach-side security is definitely lacking!

The facility is along the shore of Lake Malawi - this is the best part of the facility. Along the shore of the lake, there are a series of accommodation, but I think the beach in front of this facility is relatively cleaner than that of eastern part of the village. However, the room was old (hot shower was not available throughout my stay) and its rate is over-priced. Hotel staff are very kind and helpful. So generally I am satisfied with the stay.

I booked the best room of the hotel. It was a big suite with two beds. They gave for us (me and my friend) two basic small room. I have booked our room to other group. I made a reclamation and we got little bit better room which was 55 USD cheeper. They offered one free dinner (18 USD). Be careful :(

Great location, very friendly staff and the food is very nice, I strongly recommend it , it gives a true Malawi experience and is good value for the money, I will definitely come back if possible

Fantastic location and brilliantly helpful staff. Sadly very run down even by Malawian standards. No hot water at any time and often no water at all.

The beds in family room are of steel frame squeaking whenever you move.
It took 1,5h to prepare dinner plus they didn't have any steak even listed in menu. In the bar there was only one coke.
On the other hand employees are welcoming and friendly.

THE PLACE IN MALAWI LAKE IS WONDERFULL BUT THE SERVICE IS SLOWLY AND THE APARTMENTE IS NOT SO GOOD, BUT IS THE BEST IN THE REGION.

I have stayed before and was a bit underwhelmed, to be honest. But Kelley and the staff have done a great job adding a few touches and upgrades! The food was fantastic and the amenities were very nice. Clean pool, great bar and the staff was splendid. Definitely recommend this quiet getaway! Stay and have dinner after a day or snorkeling or feeding the eagles! Kudos!

Cape Maclear is the paradise beach of Malawi. So beautiful. Annie's Lodge is a great place to stay if you want some local luxury. Big rooms, big beds, right on the beach, green lawns, good food....everything you need. I love staying there.

Since arriving in Malawi 6 months ago I had wanted to take my daughter to Cape Maclear and had heard good things about Annie's. Once there however, I was disappointed. Annie's is probably one of the few places in the area in its accommodation range - with luxury places or backpacker hostels as the other choices. Annie's probably has the best view of the lake and a pool. The staff too are a plus -- they were friendly and for the most part helpful. The room was just okay -- the door flimsy, the refrigerator and TV did not work, and the mattress was not the best. Still, my daughter and I slept well. Overall the rooms and facilities need an upgrade to continue to charge their prices.

Dock är Malawis El system ett aber här också, elen kommer och går.
Vägen hit är delvis usel på slutet, men det är inte så lång strecka och det går att komma fram !
Betänk dock snäckfebern innan du badar i sjön.

Ett trevligt med ganska slitet hotell vid havet. Mycket dålig väg. Begränsad meny och enkla maträtter. Personalen mycket tillmötesgående. Gjorde allt med begränsade möjligheter.

Dès l’arrivée, j’ai su que j’allais passer un séjour agréable. L’accueil est chaleureux et amical sans excès, la chambre spacieuse et bien équipée : air conditionné, salon, salle de bain, terrasse donnant sur le jardin, la piscine et le lac Malawi… la particularité du lieu et ce qui en fait le charme (pour l’instant) c’est qu’il n’y a pas (encore) de salle de restaurant, alors le service se fait à l’endroit que l’on désir : sur la terrasse, au bord de la piscine ou en bordure de plage… idéal en fin d’après midi pour prendre un verre en admirant le coucher du soleil !
Très bien situé, à proximité du parc et du village, l’hôtel organise également des sorties sur le lac à la demande avec son bateau.
Le personnel est très sympathique et irréprochable, une bonne adresse.
