Struttura molto bella e accogliente, posizione ottima, parcheggio libero in strada.
breakfast was delicius
room isnt so clean
Loved this hotel. Great location. Really good breakfast, lovely staff, beautiful decor.
Would definitely stay here again.

Great location (a few minutes walk into town), rooms are very cozy and the staff are helpful. The decor of the hotel is beautifully done. Also really enjoyed the breakfast.
Not so much a dislike but unfortunately the North restaurant located inside the hotel is only open (at least in March) Wednesday- Saturday therefore was unable to try it.
Hyvä sijainti, ilmainen parkkipaikka. Aika hyvä aamupala.
Käytävältä äänet kuului selvästi huoneeseen.
The hotel has grown enormously over the past decade and a big extension opened in the last year slightly down the road looks to have doubled the size. In the new part you have the breakfast room and in the original part is reception and a really chilled-out lounge.
The hotel is a delight. We’d booked a room with a view of the fjord and these are at more of a premium now than once they will have been. A large new Hilton is being built across the street and next to that a new apartment block is already occupied. A lot of hotel rooms are being created in Akureyri to cope with its burgeoning tourist economy. We were in 311 and the view was fine but any further along the view will be impacted.
There’s a small bar next to reception (open ‘til midnight) and comfortable seating in the atmospheric main lounge. It seemed to be a popular destination for local people too. The front of house staff were all young and exceptionally helpful and informative.
Location-wise it can’t be faulted. I think it’s the first hotel on the way into town from the airport…and the bus stop is just over 5 minutes walk away. Or a taxi to/from the airport is around 3000ISK (about £18…well worth it if you want to beat the queue when everyone arrives on the bus). Walking to the centre of town where all the bars (some good ones) and restaurants (ditto) are located takes 10 minutes when icy underfoot so less in Summer. Most tours will pick up at the hotel too.
The rooms are comfortably minimalistic and we really loved the place. We’d stay here again for sure
Superb breakfast. Staff very friendly and professional.
