Negative points: Simply terrible. I came to Seaside in Miami North Beach, and upon arriving, I was faced with a building with a rather old structure, which had a certain impact on me and my family, leaving us frustrated from the start. After searching for the reception for some time, which is located in a rather secluded place, and after looking for two rooms for myself and my family, we were faced with a charge of $100 per room, not counting the $102 deposit per room, totaling $404, which is absurd for mediocre accommodation. The rooms smell of mold, not to mention the great absurdity that occurred when I brushed my teeth, where the sink handle simply fell into my hands, as you can see in the image below. Furthermore, the shower has no indicator for hot or cold water, which caused a terrifying incident where my son, not knowing how to use it due to lack of instructions, turned on the hot water and burned himself, falling into the completely unsanitary bathtub with chewing gum stuck to it and a large amount of dust and grime, which makes for a completely embarrassing situation for my family and is inconsiderate on the part of the hotel. In addition, the TV has significant limitations in its smart services, and it doesn't even turn on due to the lack of battery in the remote control, which is ridiculous for a hotel to charge such an absurd amount for an apartment with so many limitations. Not to mention the location, which is prone to crime; when I went to the pharmacy to buy some products, I was approached by a homeless man on the corner of the hotel. Another influencing factor is the lack of security at the hotel, which made me feel unsafe during my stay. The gate is left open, allowing anyone to enter or invade the place as they please, not to mention the proximity to bars and places of dubious reputation, causing a slight odor of cannabis in my rooms, which made for a completely unsatisfactory and disturbing experience. Not to mention the misleading advertising presented on their website, where they claim to have a swimming pool in the middle of the structure surrounded by apartments. I looked for the pool and couldn't find it within a 30 to 40-minute walking distance. Also, the bars charged an extra $30 fee, which is ridiculous for this company to charge without informing the customer beforehand, only revealing it at the time of payment. This made for an incredibly unpleasant experience for me, who was with my children, mother, and father, making it a very unpleasant environment for a family just wanting to enjoy a three or four-day vacation. I believe that after this experience, I will never return to Miami because of the great disappointment I had at this fraudulent hotel. If you have to choose between staying here or sleeping in your car, sleep in your car.
Positive points: beachfront location
I would not recommend anyone book with this hotel. I booked five nights with my daughter and received full confirmation. Then, **two days before travelling**, I suddenly received an email from the hotel saying *I* had cancelled. I hadn’t. **They** had cancelled my booking.
Legally, a hotel can’t do this — if you book with a credit card and they confirm it, they must honour the reservation.
I was frantic. I called and spoke to someone at reception who seemed totally uninterested. I left messages and emailed every contact I could find. After an hour, someone finally emailed me back with a vague apology, claiming they couldn’t collect payment so they cancelled. However, they had already sent me a confirmation, which means the contract should still stand.
I explained this, but they still refused to honour the booking and told me I had to rebook. Luckily, because I was travelling out of season, I managed to find another hotel — and after such an awful experience, I didn’t want to stay with these people anyway.
My advice to anyone else: **don’t book with this hotel**. My experience was appalling and completely avoidable.
Booked through love holidays and write up is misleading.
There is no pool at Seaside All suites, it’s at another location as is the bar with happy hour. A good 30/40 mins walk. The pool area was not lined with inviting loungers just a couple of really old loungers and chairs.
Also extra fees that were quoted on our booking were more than double when we checked in. $30 per night extra.
The first room we were given was next door to reception and had no safe, no cutlery, no hand towels. Lots of people passing the window to access reception . Really loud fridge. We moved rooms the following day.
Standard of rooms- very basic and both smelt old and musty. Not clean and lots of things not working - kitchen tap, no kettle.
Beds very comfy and large rooms.
Frequent smell of cannabis
Staff in reception very helpful and knowledgeable of local amenities.
Good transport links to rest of city.
Location on North beach - few mins to beach , shops and a few restaurants.
We stayed 3/10 nights and spent the rest of our time on the Keys. Paying the same per night but much better standard.
On our return our bin had been emptied and bed made but not changed. No clean towels or cleaning of bathroom and kitchen.
In essence, I would not stay here again.
The photos you see are NOT indicative of the location. They have 4 buildings. 1. I was not provided any accommodations to wait 4 hours to check in other than a chair in a tiny office.
2.I was not told that I would not be staying at 7500 Collins Ave.
3. The gal behind the counter was almost in tears as she tried to talk to two women that were complaining about mold MOLD and odor of Mold in their room. They had just checked in and I asked them what room, they said they were sent to 8320 Harding ave.
4. I went to Harding ave after checking in to find that the nearest parking (pay) was 5 blocks away. This was unacceptable. The area is full of homeless and construction. It is not pretty and NOT next to a beach.
5. I found 45 minute parking around the corner and proceeded to the room. The gate was not locked, no one was around at all. The room was a dungeon. I went to the bathroom (almost) to find the roll of toilet paper soaking wet. I looked up and noticed a drip from the ceiling and a small puddle of yellow water where the toilet paper was. Since I did not sit down yet, I looked around and not one other roll of toilet paper, napkins, tissues were to be found.
6. All the doors and drawers were broken or crooked. There was only a thin sheet on the bed and no blankets at all. I looked around and there was nothing to use in this room.
After only 10 minutes in the room, I took my bag and left. I returned to the office. Mind you, I have now paid 3x for parking.
The gal at the desk was very upset. I demanded my $100 deposit be reversed.I demanded she cancel the $102.50 resort fee be reversed. She said she couldn't and that it was her first week there, no manager on site. I did say this dump was NO RESORT!
I have filed a complaint with Priceline for the hotel fee and my MC for the 2 fees taken on site. This was my worst experience ever. I WILL get a refund. I EXPECT A REFUND. I feel sorry for other people having a negative experience also.
I ended up NOT staying there. I am someone who can tolerate the lack of amenities, but not like this place. I didn't take photos cause I ran out.
