Restaurant moyen.
Clean & designed hotel in the heart of Reykjavik. The beds are very comfortable, and the spa is a plus!
Incluyendo el spa en la habitacion
Parking muy limitado
Very attractive lobby area, basic but functional rooms, amazing staff and couldn't be a better location. Right next to bus stop 13 for most tours and perfect walking distance for shopping and restaurants. We needed to eat gluten free and we were really pleased with the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff. Gluten free bread available at breakfast and dinner. Luggage storage for free on our last day, fantastic.
Spa and restaurant
Good location, staff very nice and available, good breakfast. Very comfortable bed,
Localização central
Custo benefício razoável
Midgardur is a very good hotel. Not only for the location, the restaurant, the rooms and the spa but especially because of the staff. I would like to point out Veronica who has always been so nice and accommodating when we visit, be it for work or on holidays with friends and family. She has gone far and beyond to make our trips memorable. I look forward to spring 2026 to see friendly faces and have few good laughs!
The place we’ve stayed was excellent. It was close to the shops, restaurants and transportation. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful.
Modern, clean, great location, all staff friendly and helpful
Nothing - only tip for other travellers is to book for weekend brunch if you want it.
Frühstück, Lage, Personal
Eigentlich nichts, manchmal roch es im Bad nach Kanalisation…🤷♂️
We didn't prepay for breakfast but decided to eat there - the breakfast was good, high quality, and I love how guests could have a shot of cod liver oil if they so chose
having to walk entirely around the hotel to the parking was annoying but ok - would be nice to have a back door to the parking - maybe it existed and I didn't know. Parking is very limited and we were lucky to get the last open spot - thank goodness, it had been a long travel day from California
We have just come back from a 3 day trip for my wife’s 40th. First time in Iceland for both of us.
The hotel was very clean and staff friendly and very helpful throughout our stay.
We experienced an issue with pick up for one of our excursions (no connection to the hotel) and the hotel concierge assisted us straight away and arranged alternate transport for us, so we didn’t miss our departure time.
The rooms are somewhat basic, but if you’re exploring and out all day everyday which most people are, they are perfectly suited for you. We didn’t want an all singing and all dancing luxury room as didn’t spend much time in it.
I can’t fault the room or the hotel.
It had everything we needed and no complaints at all to be had.
We did use the spa which was nice as the spare hour and half we had was nice to relax in the hit tub and sauna. Again this was very clean and we equipped with free towels and robes and slippers for the guests. It also has changing rooms and toilets in spa.
The hotels location in my opinion was perfectly positioned at one end of the main high street area. There was no noise, bar some construction work going on to improve the walkway but this was done at reasonable hour and finished early afternoon. Everything is in a walkable distance.
There is also the added bonus that bus stop 13 is literally outside the hotel and I found a lot of excursions get picked up there .
Thankyou for help making our stay perfect and when we return in the future we will definitely use Midgardur hotel again.
I’m not sure what the other hotels are like in Iceland if this is rated #10. I was so glad my stay was only a few hours. It reminded me of an old dormitory. The bed was too soft, the sheets were scratchy, no air or heat controls, and the bathroom smelled like sulfur. It was awful. I searched days for the best place to stay, even though a short layover- but this place really missed the mark. I would absolutely not recommend staying there.
Great location, short walk into the main shopping street. Round the corner from Bus Stop 13. Staff were super nice. Very professional and accommodating. Food was lovely. Happy hour a bonus for the bar. Great to have tea and coffee in the room. Shower not that powerful but perfectly OK. Bed very firm. Our room was above the Bus stop and people talk very loudly whilst waiting. This is just a minor niggle as everything else was perfect.
