Το δωμάτιο ήταν πανέμορφο και αποτύπωνε μοναδικά την αρχοντική ατμόσφαιρα και τη γοητεία της Μονεμβασιάς. Το μπαλκόνι με τη μαγευτική θέα στη θάλασσα ήταν το ιδανικό σημείο για να απολαύσουμε τη διαμονή μας. Το πρωινό ήταν πολύ νόστιμο, ενώ η τοποθεσία εξαιρετικά βολική, με ένα υπέροχο καφέ ακριβώς κάτω από το ξενοδοχείο. Μια πραγματικά ξεχωριστή εμπειρία που σίγουρα θα επαναλάβουμε!

Unique location, kind staff, but the owner’s attitude was disappointing.
Pros:

The main issue with this hotel is the attitude of the “big boss” — the owner or senior manager. Unfortunately, he often came across as arrogant and unnecessarily controlling.

Small things made the stay less pleasant: my wife was climbing the many stairs with two children and luggage, and he did not even offer to help with a small bag. At breakfast, we wanted to drink a coffee outside, less than one meter from the door, but this was not allowed. We were also told we were taking too much space, and when we took the water bottle to pour water into our glasses, he immediately came to tell us the bottle was for everyone.

These are small details, but on holiday they matter. Nobody wants to feel watched over how much water a child drinks or whether someone takes two slices of salami.

The ironic part is that the rest of the staff were very kind, smiling, and helpful. Breakfast was good, and the hotel has a truly special location inside the old castle of Monemvasia.

The rooms are a bit dated and the beds are not the most comfortable, but the experience of staying inside such a historic place is worth it.

My honest recommendation for the “big boss” would be to take a vacation himself, go to the beach or go fishing, and let the people he hired do their job. They are doing it well. His constant involvement in small details does more harm than good.

Overall, Monemvasia and the hotel were a very nice experience. Without the “big boss” creating unnecessary tension over small things, it could have been perfect.

Geweldig locatie en heerlijk ontbijt!

De locatie was geweldig, aan het eind van het dorpje, dus heel rustig. Het uitzicht was prachtig. Het ontbijtbuffet was heel uitgebreid en ontzettend lekker!

Το δωμάτιο είχε υπέροχη θέα ,κλείσαμε με το μπαλκόνι τρομερό!Είναι τέρμα στα τείχη του καστρου.Ηταν πεντακάθαρο, ούτε τρίχα κατω. Το προσωπικό ευγενικό, οι παροχές οκ, και το πρωινό φρέσκα όλα. Φοβερα ανετο κρεβάτι στρωμα μαξιλαρια.Και ειχε κ φοβερη ηχομονωση κ ησυχια .Το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα!
