Nice and cozy little room in the mountains! Nice after a long day with your own private bathroom. It’s a walk up the road with your bags since you can’t drive up! Host was very nice and informative.
Located in a traditional village, the place is nice, breakfast is good and tasty homemade cooking. People are friendly
Nicole LERICHE
Amazing rooms, friendly and helpful host, i would undoubtfully recommend this accommodation for whoever wants to have greek traditional village vacation and friendly host in a cozy guesthouse.
Great quiet place, in lovely ancient village, stone built.
Sehr gemütliche Unterkunft mit super Service und eigenem Kamin.
There was no hot water for bath .Satisfy breakfast
The owner was very kind. The breakfast was simple, a few good jams and a couple of pastries, cucumber and tomato, some fruit, eggs, that’s it. The rooms had no A/C or fans, only a fireplace and no nets on the windows so you can’t air the room due to mosquitos. Could be nice in winter but not summer, it was hot. There is a steep walk from the parking lot and it was hard carrying the luggage to the room. The village is tiny nothing much to do except visit other places in Zagori. Come in the spring, not summer, all rivers dry and it was hot.
The stay is very good. Beautiful room and hotel, very well designed and equipped. service is very good and team keen to help. Clean, spacious room, very good service, Wifi very fast, small nice lobby.
Excellent Restaurant nearby.
An issue is the need to carry the luggage from the car to the hotel. The staff ready to assist. Visitors shall be planned for it and be coordinated with the hotel team for help. The accessibility seems to be an issue for all Unesco World Heritage sites - saying all hotels at Dilofo and other villages where direct car access right to the lobby is not available.
made a mistake in my order. felt that the hotel staff did not do anything to help me out. was very disappointing!
Won't consider this hotel in the future
A wonderful place, owners and staff.
Wonderful place, very quiet, very helpful stuff. We had a great time
Gaia is a wonderful place to be in a beautiful area. Elias and Yota gave us a feeling of home, doing everything to make us feel welcome. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast is nice. It is a good place to be in.
Our stay was perfect. We were told at check in that traditional guest houses don't have AC, but a fan in the room would have been nice. Other than that, it was fine
We stayed for 3 nights in the guesthouse.
The minute we arrived we met Elias which welcomed us with a warm hospitality and took us to our room. The room was lovely, the atmosphere in Dilofo is very special and relaxing. Giota and Elias helped us find and book local guides for hiking, rafting and other attractions. This was probably the best Guesthouse during our 16 day stay in Greece mainly thanks to the patience, help and kindness of Gitoa and Elias, we thank them so much and hope to some day return.
what a pleasure of a stay. The room and while hotel is just lovely
the village that at first was weird to is since there is no immediate car access proved to be just beautiful. The owners of the hotel love their work and have us a most welcoming feeling. Breakfasts aster amazing. The village of close to the important landscapes and the vikos. There is also a lovely restaurant right there. You should go there !
The hosts where marvellous and made our trip delightful . The breakfast had a wonderful Greek influence
Gaia is a beautiful, peaceful and welcoming place to base yourself to explore the local villages and walking trails. The owners are terrific and the view from my room (number 5) was amazingly lovely, trees on one side and the rooftops and church spire of the ancient stone village on the other. Very elegant yet cosy. And the excellent breakfast is enough to keep you going all day. The village of Dilofo, where Gaia is, has few inhabitants for most of the year and no shops at all but there are a couple of pleasant taverna, one with a great view, the other under the spreading shade tree in the village centre. You can hike to a couple of nearby villages but life is easier if you have a car. There's so much to explore!
This was a dream come true, to find this off the beaten path, link to a time long ago... Gaia Guesthouse was an amazing respite to relax and enjoy the peaceful tucked away surroundings. The staff, accommodations, and location were absolutely amazing... Cannot recommend highly enough, for those interested in experiencing a quiet old world link to the past.
