I asked to be switched rooms day 1 , since I reserved a king bed and wasn’t given one. I was told it was sold out… Later that evening, I spoke to one of the staff members (which was very nice) and asked him why they were sold out all week and he informed me that indeed, they were not sold out. When asking why the lights haven’t been fixed after day 3 and the boss informed that not ONE but THREE staff will come fix the problems and that he doesn’t understand why they didn’t either fix my room or change me rooms.
The cleaning staff doesn’t clean, they brought water and emptied bathroom garbage, didn’t make a bed nor did they fix the light switch.
After demanding a refund and that I had enough, was moving hotels, magically my king size suit had a been approved and is available… interesting. So, I need to threaten to change hotels for change to happen?
I would never stay here again. Nor would myself or our company ever book with booking.com again! After being informed they don’t deal with these things, the customer service of the hotel does ( aka -the same management that couldn’t fix the lights in 7 days, give the proper room or deal with complaints like a manager).
Honestly if anyone reads any of my reviews they understand that I’m very fair and honest about my experiences with hotels and food.
Staff 5/10 (except the nice lady in the day, she was nothing but help).
Location 8.5/10 - although 15 min cab ride from tower and downtown, lots around location and great walking.
Food 8.5/10 Very nice food.
Room 2/10 reasons above.
Management 0/10 If they worked for me I would fire them on the spot and promote the lady in the day that makes the place not crumble.
Restaurants in area. Very nice pho place one block away and a 9/10 pasta company across the street. 711 and spa across the street.
The fact that booking.
The room size was good and spacious. The stay overall was very good, mainly because of the team. They were very helpful and there to help and support for anything we might have needed. The best part they spoke adequate English, so the communication was also clear. The team was definitely the highlight.
I am nitpicking here. The cleaning service could have been a bit better. The sheets were changed every three days, which was not a big issue. But the general vacuuming and such could have been slightly better. Also, my colleague prefers hard pillows, so those can be added as an option for other guests.
The beds were comfortable
Bad air. Air purifier supplied but not functioning well. Aircon not able to be regulated so stayed cold. Unhygienic mould had crept under badly applied silicon repair job all around the bath and other areas too. The light switches and power outlets not able to function as they should either globe out or more needed for dark spots and very few power plugs. Filthy windows you could not see clearly out of. Small and cramped for three people. Shower head badly positioned and in need of maintenance meant anyone showering flooded all around the edge of the bath hence the mould. Black roll down blinds in bathroom had many areas of dirty brown stains needing a good clean. We couldn’t get out of there quickly enough. Bedside lamps broken. Badly in need of maintenance or a complete makeover.
