Nettes, freundliches Personal, komfortables Bett und Kissen, guter Schlaf.
Beste Lage, mitten im Zentrum, typischer Amsterdam Altbau im historischen Stadtkern. Dafür trotzdem super ruhig und das trotz WorldPride.
Ja, die Zimmer sind sehr klein und die Treppen steil, aber das ist nun mal so, wenn man im historischen Stadtkern Amsterdams wohnen will, das muss einem einfach klar sein. So sind dort alle Gebäude.
Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und das Zimmer war sauber.

Cons:

Der "Balkon" den das Zimmer angeblich hat, ist wirklich sehr schmal (eher ein Austritt) und auch nicht sicher (niedriges Geländer). Das fand ich etwas schade.

Pros:

Hotel is in great location everything in easy walking distance.
Room was cosy & spotless with fantastic shower
Towels & bed linen fresh & clean.
Upgrade to a balcony room for great views over rembrandt square
Staff respectful & polite anything you need just ask.
We will return to hotel any time we are in Amsterdam.

Clean and good location
Pros:

Good location and clean, but it wasn’t far off from being a hostel. The room was very basic. It was quite central though and did have someone on reception all night. We paid extra for the balcony room, but beware as it’s not a balcony! The doors open, but it’s simply a Juliet balcony, which they need to put on their site, as we paid quite a bit more for this room.

Plassen mellom inngangsdøren og trappene var så liten at 2 personer ikke kan stå der samtidig
Veldig smale trapper så var veldig vanskelig å løfte opp bagasjen så ikke noe barnevennlig hotell

Mitten in Amsterdam. Alles ist zufuß zu erreichen. Super Sportbar in der Nähe mit etlichen TV's

Cons:

Hotel Preis gut. BIER Preis extrem hoch. Essen ebenso. Treppensufen eie immer nur bis Größe 36 :-)

WARNING: Technical trap on their website & predatory refund policies!
Pros:

I strongly advise everyone to be extremely careful when booking directly through the website of City Hotel Rembrandt Square.
During my booking process, the website's booking engine automatically shifted the selected dates, resulting in an unintended duplicate reservation for consecutive nights. When I realized the error, I paid for the correct night (25/07 - 26/07) where I actually stayed, hoping the hotel management would act in good faith and refund the erroneous second booking (26/07 - 27/07).
Instead of showing basic customer support, the management behaved aggressively and unscrupulously:
• Misleading documents: At reception, they tried to force me to sign a "Credit Card Authorization Form" which was actually a consent to CHARGE my card again, rather than a refund request.
• Refusal to compromise: When I politely asked to edit the document to state "FOR REFUND ONLY", they refused and falsely accused me of taking documents without permission.
• Zero flexibility: Manager Nikoleta flatly denied a refund for an obvious system glitch, hiding behind "non-refundable policy" terms and officially issuing a "No-Show" status for a room I never intended to book.
If you make a mistake or encounter a system error on their site, do not expect any empathy, fairness, or human approach from the management. They will gladly keep your money for services never rendered.
Avoid booking directly with this hotel. If you must stay here, double-check every single click and use third-party platforms with proper protection!
