Inishowen Gateway Hotel

Lovely hotel and staff, great location would highly recommend. We had a lovely time at this Hotel and Buncrana gave us great weather for the 2 days we were there! We had never been to Buncrana but will definitely be back :)

Great stay as always food and staff brilliant and rooms were spotless

The staff in this hotel are so friendly and helpful which is why we choose to stay here every year when coming to Buncrana to visit family. The hotel is always clean and comfortable and it is hard to beat the view from the restaurant for breakfast. It is ideally situated a short walk from the beach, the pier and the town centre.

I enjoyed my night away, it was nice and comfortable, the only thing was I was there for a wedding when I booked the room the breakfast was not excluded, but had a great time

Second time to be at here -Hotel clean, very friendly staff, rooms nice and good value . Dinner excellent on both nights, breakfast good also but would love it if they would do more of a selection for continental breakfast.(cut up fruit, pancakes, smoothies) Overall I will be back again soon.

Hotel rooms were lovely , have been done up nicely since we last visited. Ate in the bar it was tasty & very reasonable staff were very friendly.it was a stormy night the hotel & rooms were nice & warm only complaint would be when the doors opened there was an awful draft in the bar we had to move seats problem solved 😁..giving it was such a bad night they would've been wise to close the sliding doors . A lovely hotel a great spot as a base for touring the area.. The hotel has a leisure centre & a swimming pool ..we will be back ..

Great location beside the beach walking distance to town.quietvtime of the year and weather was atrocious but the bar and staff made our stay all the more worthwhile and enjoyable.rooms were just great plenty of space .

Really good location. Beautiful views over Lough Swilly from the dining hall. The room was clean, spacious and had a window overlooking a nearby estate. Nice big bathroom. The beds were comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities in the room.

The only noise was from other hotel users going to their rooms during the night.

Friendly staff at the reception who informed me of an overflow carpark when there were no spaces left in the hotel carpark. Polite housekeepers also.

The swimming pool and changing rooms were clean. The steam room was a little noisy but effective.

The hotel looks like it is being modernised but I like the older style charm so hopefully it keeps that.

The breakfast looked good for people who eat typical Irish breakfasts. There was not a lot of choice for people with intolerances or a specific diet. I noticed some gluten free bread but as a vegan I had limited choices. I had some melon, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans. Most hotels don't do vegan options very well. I would recommend putting some signs on the bread to indicate if it was vegan friendly. Maybe introduce some hash browns. I did have to check if the mushrooms were fried in oil or butter. I understand people with special dietary requirements are in the minority but it would make a huge difference.

Convenient location, great leisure facilities and pool. Food of a very high standard and sea view room was spacious and spotless.

The location is excellent. Close to the town. Nice views of the water from certain parts of the hotel (for example the dining room). Helpful staff. Nice pool.

We had a room overlooking the golf course, and loch Swilly. It was amazing even though it was February... Room was very clean and comfortable, house keeping was 100% breakfast was buffet and hot and plentyful, dinner was really nice with lots of choices on the menu. Would definitely recommend
