Aqua Marine

Lovely small family hotel. Very friendly owners. Perfect for access to the lovely beach and Ancient Aptera. Very relaxed. We were too early in the season for breakfasts. We found a beach cafe nearby, on the lovely beach.

The owner, Mihalis (Micheal) of this accommodation, is a very friendly host whom caters to the needs of all of his guests. Our room was very clean and comfortable, it's decor is simple, something which we all need during our stay from a busy city life. Mixalis recommended really great taverns to us in which we had a taste of great delicious traditional Cretan food.

He was always willing to assist us with any questions or queries we had. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we are looking forward to seeing you next summer!!

We ended up in acqua marine by case and it has been the best place in Crete we experienced.
At walking distance to beautiful beaches , to Greek restaurant and bars.
Michalis And Dimitra are great hosts. Breakfast was characteristic, delicious and different every day and we also received a great gift : the home made jam with figs and pomegranate .

Great place to stay if you want to visit one of the best beaches in Europe and enjoy the nature. You need 5 min to get to several beaches, including the big Falasarna beach. The owners are very nice. We arriver late but have no problems with the check in . In the morning, we were offered breakfast with home made jam, which the children liked very much. We were positively surprised to find out that the apartment we rented is actually a separate house consisting of a main bedroom and another room with two beds, kitchen and a table with 4 chairs. There is a big equipped terrace and olive trees in the garden; there is also sufficient place to park and the children to play.

Ottima pulizia, ottimo servizio, ottima qualità dell'hotel, posizione splendida.

Tristissimo,bagno e doccia invivibili.

We enjoyed this place with our kids it's not extremely massive but had little shows going on I there was a pirate show that we all really enjoyed. There are pool the but not heated so kids it was a nice warm day but water was too cold for little kids we went with a 3 year old and a nine month old baby.

The room was very small,we could barely move around the painting and the furniture dated from the 80s. There is no TV set and the air conditioning wasnt working. Due to that and the most uncomfortable bed I have experienced in my life (the maitress looked very dirty too , bed sheets were clean), we couldn't get any sleep that night.The shower head was maybe a decade old and looked very unhygienic. Also the hotel is located pretty far from the main beach (Paraiso) so if you dont have a car prepare to take a pretty long walk.
We decided to leave early (after 1 night instead of 4) and the leaving early fee was 58% of the remaining 3 nights (I'm still checking with hotels.com to see if that was correct). At 50 euros/night I think it was ridiculously overpriced and I'm not just saying that because we had stayed in Platanias the previous days at 59 euros/night with premium maitress on our bed, spotless cleanliness and private kitchenette. I hate giving bad reviews, I'm not picky, I have stayed in outdated rooms before but they gave minimum comfort, they made up with something (a comfortable bed, more room) so I'm thinking if you want to acommodate people, you should make minimum investment.

Petit hôtel sympathique, d'ambiance plus "auberge de jeunesse" que hôtel. Espace commun agréable avec patio / jardin fleuri, et chats et chiens qui s'y promenent. Accueil très convivial, et moustiquaires aux fenetres
Mais chambre très petite, avec matelas à ressort usé. Climatisation non utilisee. Chambres pas tout à fait étanche lors de grandes pluie. Douche qui deborde souvent.

COSA INUSUALE IN UN ALBERGO, I PROPRIETARI SONO ASSOLUTAMENTE ECCEZIONALI! DISPONIBILI E GENTILISSIMI, PER CONCLUDERE CI RITORNEREI ALTRE 1000 VOLTE SENSA PENSARCI SU, SODDISFATTO IN TUTTO E PER TUTTO!

Grande générosité de coeur. Accueil et convivialité execptionnels grâce à Mikhaili et Arguyro. Des hôtes authentiques et d'une extrême gentillesse. De grands moments de partage et de bonheur.

Non so se sono grilli o cicale ma il loro canto vi accompagna per tutto il giorno, evitate questo albergo se la cosa vi disturba. Se invece gradite questo accompagnamento vi ritrovate in un'oasi di verde e di tranquillità con Mihail che vi considererà degli ospiti, degli amici e non dei clienti. Facile diventare suoi amici e ricordarlo con piacere e nostalgia. Facile anche vi inviti a cena per una fantastica scorpacciata di piatti tipici greci. Le camere sono piccole e decisamente spartane, le docce non hanno la tendina, non troverete in camera o sul balconcino nulla per stendere i costumi bagnati ma l'accoglienza del proprietario e della sua compagna Silvia vi faranno dimenticare tutto e ricorderete solo la fantastica esperienza di aver soggiornato in uno dei posti più fantastici non solo di Creta ma di tutta la Grecia.

Camera per 2 persone minuscola,il bagno non può essere chiamato tale. Quando si fa la doccia si allaga tutto poichè il box doccia non ha neanche una tendina. Il materasso fa schifo,è come dormire sul pavimento. Dall'alba iniziano a cantare migliaia di grilli e continuano cosi fino al tramonto. Un cane abbaia di notte,il gallo era il suono più piacevole tra tutti questi. Con pochi euro in più andate in un posto più bello di questo.

il sig. MICHALIS, la sig.a IRINA e la cagnolina ZINNA con la loro accoglienza senza eguali sono riusciti a coniugare discrezione e ospitalità in modo perfetto. Le ottime cene offerte il sabato sera come segno di benvenuto agli ospiti sono forse ciò che stupisce di più.. permettono di incontrare e chiaccherare con gli ospiti delle varie nazionalita e di gustare ottimi cibi preparati benissimo con prodotti coltivati direttamente dal sig. Michalis... la pulizia è curata nei dettagli... l'attenzione continua ma sempre molto garbata a farti sentire accolto... la dislocazione nella parte finale della baia che ti fa sentire proprio tra mare, ulivi, capre e rocce.. e basta!!

Excellent place. Beautiful, clean, quiet, close to the beach... We were delighted and very pleasantly surprised with the hospitality of guys at Aqua Marine and Cretans in general. Must visit if you appreciate quiet and not overcrowded tourist areas around you. Definitely a place to come back to! :)

The hospitality in Aqua Marine, the entire house + garden, the food, the lovely appartments with balcony and an impressive panorama view makes this place very special!
You' ll find wonderful hosts, clean and lovely room, a huge kitchen, a garden to relax and the most beautiful beach of Falassarna right in front of you!
There are two local supermarkets (5 minutes from Aqua Marine), Busstop (Bus to Kissamos+ Chania) and free parking.

The place is made by Mih & Silvia supercool mood. Ops... I was forgetting Zeena the queen of the house, the cutest cuddly small whiteish dog I've never seen.
A giant Ficus reigns the shadowed garden where a simple med breakfast is served; a big BBQ and a wooden owen are at your disposal, eventually. Basics are the rooms, the wi-fi and the baths. Nothwithstanding it results a great value for money if you are not a posh 5 stars finder. Go indeed if "tourists no stress", as Mih says, meets your taste. Yep!
