Clean, quaint & comfy!
Pros:

It's a beautifully quaint motel. The staff was efficient and nice at check in. They made sure we knew all the amenities that were availabe. The room was roomy, clean, comfy and quiet. Beds and pillows were good. A nice assortment of coffee for the coffee maker. The TV was great. There were many choices of things to watch. Overall a very nice place to stay.

gutes Best Western aber Preis/Leistung hat nicht gepasst
Pros:

Ruhig und saubere Unterkunft. Capulin Volcano N.M. war gut zu erreichen.

Cons:

- für diese abgelegene Farmersstadt war der Zimmerpreis deutlich zuhoch, höher als in vergleichbaren Hotels in Santa Fe, das ist nicht okay

A nice place to stay in Clayton
Pros:

A good stop on road trip. Across from Love's gas station (with $2.09/gal gas!) and on our way to Amarillo, TX from Taos, NM. Bookings.com said no pets, but asked at front desk and found out pets were allowed for around $20/night (2 dogs). Room was nice (2 beds). It was Quiet, beds were good. Nothing fancy, but clean and nice. Good pet area. Better breakfast (included in very reasonable price) than most hotels on our road trip so far. I'd stay here again. (There was also a large parking area for RV's or Semi's right next to the hotel.)

There isn't much going on in Clayton, NM. As far as I'm concerned this is the only place to stay, when passing through, unless you're in the RV park.
