The staff was very friendly. The apartment was very clean. It has access to a quiet little beach. That is really nice a little bit rocky FYI.
Just around the corner, you have plenty of options for dining even a couple of supermarkets
The place is easy to find and perfectly located to go around the island to visit.

The apartments are in close proximity to both the beach and restaurants.There is a fruit and vegetable garden on the property! Everything we could need was accounted for.

Hotelli oli siisti ja rauhallinen, kaunis ja vehreä piha. Hotellilla on omat maksuttomat rantatuolit ja rannalle on lyhyt kävelymatka. Lähellä olevassa satamassa on kivoja ravintoloita, ruokakauppoja ja leipomoita. Kaikki on lähellä.
Taxilla pääsee nopeasti Aeginan keskustaan.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Xanthippi, and it was just as excellent the second time! The staff and management are superb! Food wonderful and cannot be faulted. The only thing that would make this hotel absolutely perfect would be a small swim/ dip pool!

The restaurant, bar and beach were closed for the season. I was not informed until I arrived. I left the next day and moved to a hotel that was in full operation

I go to Greece every year due to family, and this is one of the nicest places we have stayed at. Superbly simple to get to - only 5 mins walk from Souvala ferry terminal. The rooms are stylish and clean, and we had a nice sea view. The beach was only 3 mins walk from the bedroom. Plenty to do on the island (and neighbouring islands), we were there for 2 weeks and were never bored.

Breakfast was rather deserted of people, apparently some customers buy stuff at the local supermarket and sort thenselves out in the kitchenettes in each room - but wow those people are missing out. There is no menu as such, they just bring plate after plate of different foods until you can eat no more, and the food is lovely!!!! Pastries, breads, cakes, fruits, salads, cold meats, hot meats etc etc absolutely fanastic!

We also ate there a couple of evenings, and once again the food was utterly superb and very well priced too. We would have easily eaten there every night, but we wanted to try as many places as we could. There local white wine is fantastic, i forget the name, something to do with a fast rabbit (kouneli)

The beach was great; but do note, when you google Souvala beach, most photos are of a different grander beach on the other side of the island. This one is smaller, but still sandy, with crystal clear water and shallow to quite a distance out.

Thanks to all the staff, everyone was so chatty and friendly from the cleaners right through to the owners. Had a lovely stay!!

Great property for a quite stay. 3 min walking distance to the beach. The property is surrounded by beautiful plants, like rosemary, and many more. The only thing I would add it’s a pool. But for me, it is a 5 star hotel!

This property was quaint, comfortable and well-kept. Wi-fi worked well. Location was close to local port where markets and restaurants exist. Great deal on such a beautiful island!

No lift, just steps.
No swimming pool, although beach & Mediterranean Sea are a short walk away.
We arrived via ‘Saronic Ferries’ Seasonal to Souvala) from Piraeus (Athens), €10pp each way (1 hour journey).

Car rental - we used ‘Autoway’ to hire a Fiat Punto for 24 hours (10am-10am). 2 drivers, €55. They brought the car to the hotel and took it away the next day.
-Taxi - Souvala-Aegina Town = €13 (20 minutes)

I am so glad we chose this hotel. Everything about it was great - spotlessly clean, well maintained, quiet, wonderful owner and staff, very nice breakfast, great outdoor breakfast area/restaurant, feels secluded but only a three minute walk into Souvala… The beach is literally a minute away. It is small, with a scattering of sand, not very busy when we were there, so plenty of free (in both senses of the word) beds and umbrellas, with towels provided by the hotel. It is perhaps not the best looking beach, but the water was crystal clear and great for swimming (with the odd jellyfish to be avoided from time to time, as per usual). There is a cafe bar and a guy taking orders on the beach. The hotel does not have a swimming pool, which may put some people off, but we were ok with that as we normally swim in the sea anyway. Souvala itself is very small, with a handful of places to eat and drink, and it was extremely quiet when we were there. But very attractive nevertheless. We ate in the hotel restaurant one night and that was very nice too. What else…? Did I mention the lovely staff? From the owner, to the lady on reception, to the cook, to the breakfast staff, the waiter in the restaurant, the cleaner… Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!
