Zweckmässiger Aufenthalt
Pros:

Das Zimmer war geräumig, auch das Bad. 25 Min bis zum Flughafen.

Cons:

Der Empfang abends 19.30 am 20.7. war unfreundlich, ohne Gruss oder Blickkontakt. Arrogantes Benehmen. Verkehrslärm, Betten zu weich.

Tolles Hotel, vor allem für Start oder Ende der Reise gut, da es zwischen Flughafen und Innenstadt liegt. Frühstück und Zimmer sind gut. Das Hotel ist zum empfehlen.

Convenient 3* for access to KEF as well as the city, decent breakfast
Pros:

Plenty of parking in front of the hotel. Decent breakfast with yoghurt, cheese, fruits, bread and butter. Some staff was tired, some staff was very nice. At breakfast, the whole was amazing and welcoming. A typical "transit hotel" with people checking in after their flights or before their departure. Elevators, large rooms, our room had a heater and faced the highway but it was quiet enough to allow for good sleep. Blackout curtains available. The gym/sauna are actually an access to the separate gym that's in the same building. For checking in for the first/last night, very nice option.

Cons:

Other reviewers noted that the beds are too soft, I normally wave this off but in the particular case of Vellir, the beds were indeed way too soft, it wasn't comfortable for me and I would not like to spend more than 1 nigh on such a bed.

Pros:

Wir buchten vom 2. bis 5. Juni 2026. Sehr freundlicher Empfang, modern eingerichtetes Zimmer mit großem Bad, ruhig und trotzdem verkehrsgünstig gelegen, herzhaftes Frühstück. Preis/Leistung im richtigen Verhältnis. Die Buchung war die richtige Entscheidung.

Pros:

Wir kamen mitten in der Nacht an und das Personal hat uns freundlich begrüßt, zum lachen gebracht und ein bisschen geholfen den Reisestress fallen zu lassen.
Das Zimmer war mega schön, wir hatten ein Eck-Zimmer, das Frühstück war sehr lecker, vorallem der Thunfischaufstrich.

Convenient first night in Reykjavik
Pros:

Clean hotel conveniently located near the high-way by the entrance to the city from south.
3-beds room is comfortably divided to two spaces with a wall.

Cons:

It's not clear from the description of the hotel that the hot tub promoted for this hotel belongs really to the fitness center next door, so to enter this space, one has to check with the reception of the hotel. The guests of the hotel can not enter the fitness center with their hotel-keys. Many of us tried :-) Seems that verbal instructions upon check-in were not so clear, so I suggest that hotel prints out those on a paper, writes them down somewhere.

Sehr großes Zimmer für drei Personen sowie großes Bad! Personal war sehr nett und das Frühstück lecker! Einkaufsmöglichkeit in Fußnähe.

Excellent hotel מלון מצויין.
Pros:

טיול שני (הראשון ב-2023) ששהינו במלון הזה ובטיול הזה פעמיים. מלון נחמד ונוח מאוד, חצי שעה משדה התעופה. המלון מאפשר כניסה עם קוד בהגעה בטיסת לילה. ארוחת בוקר מעולה וחדר נוח.
Second trip (first in 2023) that we have stayed at this hotel and on this trip twice. A nice and very comfortable hotel, half an hour from the airport. The hotel allows entry with a code when arriving on a night flight. Excellent breakfast and a comfortable room
