The staff at check in were excellent and very helpful and in particular Amari. Also Ardit who was a lot of fun at the bar. It’s staff like this that are the reasons to stay at the Godfrey Hotel in Boston

The Godfrey, while a great value and in a great location is made superior by the staff. We were greeted by every team member every time we walked past. It was not just a hello, it was a genuine smile and genuine inquiry. So impressive. Housekeeping, Front Desk, and Front Door teams were all invested. Even more impressive when you look at this attitude through a lens of the typical Boston culture. Generally, Bostonians are much more reserved, closed and keeping their investment to themselves. We just loved staying there and would absolutely stay there again!

We had a great experience! I couldn’t recommend it more. My husband and I went with our 1-year-old son, and the hotel had already put a real crib in the room (not one of the travel ones), with a nice mattress for him.

When we parked with their valet, we were greeted by Arbon, who was the nicest person. He even brought some toys that my son absolutely loved.

Everything was clean, the staff was extremely friendly, the drinks were amazing, and having the café inside the hotel was so convenient. The view from our room was stunning, and the location was perfect, we could do everything on foot.

Overall I had a really great stay at the Godfrey Hotel Boston and would definitely stay here again. The location is honestly amazing. Everything felt super walkable and convenient. We were close to Boston Common, Chinatown, Quincy Market, North End, coffee shops, restaurants, and the subway. Ride share pickup and drop-off was easy too and the area felt very safe even at night.

The staff was great from the valet to the front desk. The front desk were kind enough to place us in a room furthest away from the nearby construction which I really appreciated because it did not affect my sleep at all. The room was actually surprisingly quiet. I could barely hear anything from the hallways or neighboring rooms which is pretty impressive for a busy downtown hotel.

The lobby is beautiful and the hotel overall felt extremely clean. The hallways, elevators, guest rooms, and bathroom were all very well maintained. The room itself was spacious and the bathroom was also a really good size. The free WiFi was also fast and reliable which made things really convenient during the stay.

The only reason I am not saying the room was perfect is because parts of the decor did feel a little dated and the pillows were flat that my neck hurt after sleeping. The bed itself was decent and large enough so it was ok overall.

One thing I really loved was the complimentary coffee, tea, water, and snacks. After a long day of traveling I was starving so seeing such a huge variety of snacks honestly made me so happy. It was such a nice touch and very appreciated.

Overall this is a really solid hotel with excellent staff, cleanliness, and location. Minor complaints aside I still had a five star experience overall.

Arbon went above and beyond for customer service!

This was such a great experience as single girls traveling our safety is a priority. Arbon and the other gentleman at the door always made sure we knew where we were going and took care of us like family. When we come back to Boston we will definitely stay here again. Close to everything great vibe and environment. Highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were all extremely friendly and outstanding. Especially enjoyed Arbon’s friendliness and helpfulness. We cannot say enough great things about Godfrey and its staff.

What a great experience! We stayed here for 3 days while we exploring Boston. Arbon was so friendly, greeting us as we went in and out, helping with luggage. The hotel was very clean and inviting. It's pretty central to everything we wanted to explore, right across the street from Boston Commons. Would definitely recommend it for staying in Boston.

Hotel is in a great location, and has neat elevators and stairwells, which make for a nice vibe. As other reviews have noted and I would resoundingly echo, Arbon and the doormen are outstanding.

The drawbacks for us (which may or may not be relevant for you-): Fair amount of noise transmitted from next room over (which just happened to have a baby waking up during the night - totally okay, but clearly not very sound proof), sliding barn door for bathroom, which isn’t very private nor soundproof, beds are very soft. We had asked for a rollaway, based off what we saw on website and prior reviews (and chose the hotel significantly based on this). Apparently they couldn’t fit one in the room, which really is okay. Would have been great to have a message about that in advance, maybe with an option or guidance on which room might better meet our needs. The front desk delivered the news with minimal apology, nor had they called us when the room was ready as they had said they would. I also would have liked a little more about the ‘urban fee’ so we might have felt like we were able to use the amenities. It may have been an off-day for the front desk.

Location really is terrific to Boston Common, Freedom Trail, shows, etc.

We were greeted each time with a smile and a “Welcome” and with someone opening the door. We were checked in quickly and our bags were taken up to our room. Arbon took the time to label a map and to show us where to go close by keeping my 85 year old mother’s needs in mind. Our rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. We loved that check out wasn’t until noon which gave us time to relax before our flight home.
