nice place, close to beach, very clean. Meh for the management
Pros:

Chateau Mar is a nice place. Easy to get to, right on the beach. Our room was a family suite, and it was very clean upon our arrival. The room was also very spacious.

Cons:

Parking is very tight at Chateau Mar. They give parking passes, but sometimes there seems to be people in the parking spaces who are not visitors to the Chateau Mar. For our stay at the Chateau Mar, I booked a family suite with a kitchen. I called ahead the day prior to our arrival and confirmed that the room would have a kitchen. When we checked in to our room, it did not have a kitchen. Instead, it had a toaster, microwave, an air fryer, and a small coffee maker. I talked to the desk about this and the gentlemen working that day told me that our particular room was listed as having a kitchen. He could not move us to another room as everything was occupied. I understood that since it was Memorial Day weekend. I asked the gentlemen at the desk about arranging a rebate for us, since we were paying $49 a day for a feature that we were not getting. He was unable to do that. I don't believe it was in his scope to authorize a rebate. He said that he would check with his supervisor, who was due to come in Monday afternoon, which was after I'd left. I did not hear back from the Chateau Mar, and they have not responded to my email.
