Considering the price, It might be good for a one night rest if you are a heavy sleeper and don't get bothered by noises, otherwise you will leave with back pain and endless hours with no sleep.
It is a good place to stay
No parking lot
The staff was excellent!
comfortable place .the room is 5 star
For the price, a very comfortable hotel with very good staff. It is located about 20 minutes from downtown by taxi, but there are a couple of good restaurants nearby. The wifi was good, along with the simple breakfast.
Great location, wonderful staff , good place to stay
The stay was amazing. The room was very clean and staff were extremely nice, upgraded us to a suite!
Rooms are fantastic. Great value. Staff very helpful.
Good location, extra clean, excellent staff. No complaints.
Highly recommended for what you pay,
Clean , nice,
Very clean. Staff is very professional and helpful. My room was upgraded at no extra charge.
Will recommend and definitely return again.
My room type wasn't available (1 King bed) when I checked in, so they upgraded me to a suite, free of charge! One of the elevators was broken, so you had to use the stairs or the elevator on the stairs (sounds strange, but that's what it was). The concierge desk was very helpful and spoke both English and Arabic (among any other languages they may speak). They helped me arrange an Uber ride and my shuttle back to the airport. All of my rides were on time or early!
Pick up at airport was 2 hours late.
Elevator to our floor was broken, that was Sunday, wasn’t fixed until Thursday.
Wouldn’t take credit cards. Cash only!
The food in cafe was very good and reasonably priced but they wouldn’t take credit cards.
The towels we used and put on floor were folded and put back on rack. Had throw pillow on bed, I know that a lot of hotels do this but I find it disgusting in all hotels. Hotels should save money, they are totally unnecessary! The staff was nice and helpful.
I lovely hotel with very polite, welcoming and professional staff. The rooms are cool, clean and well kept and there is a breakfast hall and adjoining cafe. As a hotel Geusthouse Amman met and exceeded all our of requirements; amazing value for money.
In terms of location, the hotel is about 15 minutes taxi from downtown and the main restaurants and inner-city tourist sites which means they can be reached easily in a taxi for less than 5JD (don't overpay, the staff will order you an Uber if you ask). The only difficulty we had was that there are two "Geust house" hotels in Amman, so it's important to make sure you direct taxis to the right one. The staff gave us business cards with the address and also wrote out instructions in Arabic that we kept with us to show to taxi drivers.
The photos of the rooms undersell the hotel which is clad in cool white marble throughout and feels classical and sleek. There is an attached Cafe, but otherwise the facilities are basic: this is a base camp from which to explore Jordan rather than a spa resort.
Several reviews mention the breakfast options. While the hotel does not offer extensive breakfast options, there was enough to keep us going over a four day stay. While we were there breakfast included: scrambled eggs, sausages, omelette, tomatoes, cucumber, local cheese, various breads, a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juice, tea, coffee, and cake. Guests expecting a full-English will be disappointed.
The shower head was rusty and not properly working, the sink leaked water.
The room was outdated. The AC was very loud, to the point that you couldn’t sleep with it on.
Two things that were a little different.
The elevator, you had to walk up 5 steps to get to the door. Each floor the same.
The AC unit in the room did not have an auto mode. So either off or on.
Nice big rooms, had a great stay. Could have a better breakfast selection but otherwise good
The hotel helped me set up a shuttle from the airport which went very smoothly. The staff were all incredibly hospitable and kind and I felt very welcome. I had a great night sleep in a very comfortable bed. Overall a great place for a reasonable price!
