Breakfast was good but it might be an American thing, I missed oatmeal with berries or raisins.
I loved being able to stay on the ground floor. That was very convenient.
There was not really anything.
Very well location, clean, very good breakfast, with everything that you need in the morning. The stuff very nice and always very helpful.
The breakfast was good and a variety. The location was good for bus pickup and taxi. Especially during the marathon.
Expensive
location is nice, walking distance to the busiest places, bus stop right in front of the hotel.
need to work on sound proof
Hotel room was very clean. Breakfast was good. Staff were quite helpful.
The rooms were very noisy, especially in the mornings, and especially coming from the room(s) above. We weren't crazy about the location. Now that we know more about Reykjavik, we would try to stay closer to the Harpa Music Hall if we return.
Breakfast was wonderful! Hotel was very clean and quiet.
Room was very small.
Storm Hotel is best suited for first-time visitors, couples, and travelers focusing on organized excursions/day tours. If you want a hassle-free, impeccably clean, and comfortable place to sleep with a top-notch breakfast before heading out on an Icelandic adventure, it is one of the best value-for-money options in the city.
It was blazing hot in our room after 3pm. Even with the one tiny window cracked, there was no cooling off. The sun was just beating down on us. Bed uncomfortable. Bedding mediocre. No washcloths.
The rooms looked a little bare in terms of interior design. The breakfast area was too small, although the breakfast itself was good. The staff at breakfast didn’t greet us, and the customer service at reception was also a little lacking in friendliness.
It was modern, super-clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed and a good breakfast, right by the bus stop and close to the waterfront. Close enough (say 20
mins walk) to the heart of the city but also had sufficient good eating options nearby including a reasonably priced food hall.
Nothing. Not a complaint but it is modern/functional rather than characterful and some people might find it a bit out of the centre.
Right across from bus stop 12. Clean.
I know Iceland is expensive, but this felt like a budget hotel for a luxury price. I booked late and there was minimal inventory in Reykjavik so my options were limited. Very pricey for the level of accommodation and lack of amenities. Okay breakfast. It was a 15-20 minute walk to the city center. Lots of tour/cruise groups.
Sehr gutes Frühstück
Very quiet, attentive & helpful staff. Bus stop 12 is right across the street for many excursions and a bus to the airport! I would stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Tasty breakfast, a great bed, and very clean; it is within walking distance of a supermarket, a shopping street, and a food hall. The reception is staffed 24/7, and you can always turn to the staff with questions about the city itself or places to eat.
The front desk staff were rude. The rooms were extra tiny. There was a giant mold, water leak stain on the ceiling and tiny bugs crawling around the coffee maker. No toiletries or even Kleenex. This was way overpriced! I’ve gotten more at a 2 star hotel. Definitely not worth the money. Only plus was the location.
