Pros:

The facilities were good. Easy to move around in and very comfortable. It also had a very warm feeling about it.

Cons:

When I booked I didn't realise the staircase up to the room would be so steep. Otherwise it was a lovely cute place. Only one thing I would do is install a handrail up the staircase. For safety.

Pros:

It was convenient for the airport.

Cons:

We had an upstairs room and the stairs up were steep, narrow and partially in the room, which did not feel all that safe. The ceiling sloped on both sides to an apex which was low - not great if you are tall like me.

The room was clean and comfortable but I would not stay again
Pros:

Location

Cons:

I believe the room would not conform to safety standard. The staircase is a hazard both from there being no handrail and the position of the top of the stairs with no safety rail.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED authentic historical experience.
Pros:

It was awesome to stay in the oldest building in Sorrell, with an excellent blend of keeping the historical with the mod cons of kitchen and bathroom. Loved the book with the articles on other historical places, and had a delicious breakfast at the Velvet Cafe.
Oh, and thanks for the flexibility on the check-in time!

Cons:

Got a bit of a fright when the wind picked up and rattled a couple of windows, but was easily sorted. Initial thought was that someone was trying to get in!! A bit of an adrenalin surge, but got back to sleep fine. As above, it added to the authentic historical experience.

Ok except for stairs
Pros:

There was no breakfast. Location was good.

Cons:

Stairs not recommended for older guests like us (80). Handrail would help. Power points were not in good locations.

A charming place to stay within easy reach of Hobart by car.
Pros:

This was a cute little place to stay - walking in reminded me of my childhood visiting my grandma's house. The charm and character replicates that era as advertised. The hosts were helpful and generously upgraded us. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
