The breakfast was stock standard, cereals, toast, and spreads. Good assortment of hot drinks available. The rooms were small and quiet and no noise could be heard from the pub below (even on a crowded quiz night!). The staff were helpful and courteous. The food from the pub was delicious, even had a few vegetarian options available.
There was a lot of dust/cobwebs on the windows and blinds in the bedroom and bathroom. The duvet were very tired and had some minor, but noticeable stains due to them being white. The bathroom blinds were very spotty with mould from lack of fresh air being let in/out during showers because the windows were always closed.
Breakfast was nice. Hotel has a lot of history.
Staff were nice. Surprisingly warm and well insulated.
Seperate toilet and shower were expected at the price.

For a strange bed I slept well and I loved spending time in the garden the next morning.
The interior is tired and in need of a freshen up and I can't of read the information properly as I was expecting our own bathroom and toilet.
Surprisingly lively bar with friendly staff. Washing machine facilities were provided if required. The property emailed me as soon as I had booked to check that I was aware that the bathroom facilities were shared.
The broken cushions on the veranda, the stained chair and cobwebs in the dining room. Would have preferred that the window and veranda door closed without large air gaps rather than arrive to find the heater was on high.
What a fun location - it felt like staying in an old hotel in Europe. Yes, the washrooms and shower facilities are shared, but there are several so it was not an issue. The rooms are basic but clean and ours had a sink. Although we did not eat there, the tavern looked awesome. The grounds are beautifully kept and the bay is a short stroll down the hill. If you are looking for a cool and historic experience this is a must stay.
The continental breakfast is worth skipping. We had to bring our own milk, bowls and cutlery. Nice eating room (needs a good cleaning) but the breakfast offerings show very little effort and it seems it is just advertised to help draw in business.
