Construction going on all around the building way too noisy. Ants all over the bedroom and all over the bed.
I booked a Deluxe Double Room with a balcony, but upon arrival we were given a room that was around half the size of the one shown in the online photos—and it didn’t even have a balcony.
After a lot of back and forth with the receptionist (as the manager was apparently “unavailable” ), we were eventually moved to an 8th-floor room with a balcony. This room was much better, but it still looked nothing like the photos online and was nowhere near as spacious as advertised. The balcony itself was lovely, though, and the view was amazing.
The hotel is in a good location, but what they fail to mention is the hotel is located down a dusty alleyway with construction work taking place outside. It was extremely noisy throughout the day and definitely affected our stay.
Unfortunately, after just one night in our new room, a strong sewer smell started coming from the bathroom. It felt like every time one issue was resolved, another appeared.
Credit where it’s due—the receptionist handled the situation professionally and did everything she could to help. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the manager, who appeared to be giving conflicting information. We were initially told that no balcony rooms were available, only to be offered one five minutes later.
Overall, this hotel is simply not worth the price. It’s significantly overpriced for what you actually receive. Had the hotel used genuine photos of the rooms instead of what appears to be photos from one of their sister hotels, and priced the rooms accordingly, my opinion would have been different. There are other places in malta that are much better and cheaper!
The room was spacious, clean and beautiful.
Grandezza e pulizia della camera
Posizione dell'hotel
C.eramo i lavori e non siamo stato avvisati era un disastro davamti l hotel
Location was great and having access to the beach club nearby was perfect. Room was lovely and spacious, very friendly staff.
Breakfast in the associated restaurant was pretty bad, wouldn’t recommend but lots of nice nearby spots instead!
Este foarte curat in camere
Este destul de scump fata de alte proprietati, iar pozele sugerate pe booking, nu reflecta realitatea. Pentru ca locatia este in spatele strazii principale, iar piscina este comuna cu alte hoteluri, si este forte aglomerat
Location was great. Rooftop pool available. Room was clean and spacious. The shower was quite big which was great.
Buffet Breakfast at the sister hotel down the road. The sauasages, bacon, beans and hash browns were cold.
Room was a good size, clean, modern.
View was not great, just old buildings at the back. Whilst being close to the sea, it shouldn't be confused with the beach club which is a completely separate venue.
We arrived at the Strands hotel which we booked and upon checking in we were told the hotel was around the corner from where we originally booked. It was a dusty side street where we had to walk to get to the Main Street which we paid to be on the Main Street. The street had construction that started well before 8am, drilling and construction men yelling at 7am in the morning. Also, another disappointing thing about the hotel was the shower kept flooding because the drain was clogged. We had maintenance come to fix the shower which it was fixed for 1 day and we continued having the same issue of flooding. Overall, this hotel didn’t live up to my expectations very disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend staying here.
It was a strange experience. I arrived late at night; the reception is staffed by just one person. The next day, I went out, and when I returned around 11 PM, there were no towels in my room. I went down to the reception—where the staff are always on their phones—and was told they didn't have any. I suggested they get some from another room, but they said the hotel was fully booked and they would have to request them from a nearby sister hotel. Housekeeping really ought to report leaving a room without towels; this is the 44th country I’ve visited, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. When I made the reservation, they charged me 1 euro, claiming it was to verify the card worked and that it would be refunded later. That never happened.
