It was an interesting experience of a differet Beijing stay
Pros:

The guesthouse is beautifully furnished with antiques and have a lovely Chinese ambience. You really get a feeling for living in a Hutong here, especially wandering through the narrow streets surrounding the house. The area is full of authentic Chinese eateries. Lastly, the staff is extremely friendly and chatty and helpful with ordering taxis. They also very kindly helped to retrieve a lost item in a taxi. I actually gave the property a higher rating because of the staff.

Cons:

This property should not be advertised as a 4-5 star hotel- it doesn't have the expected level comfort and service. The staff is very friendly and helpful - but we were asked to come back 30mins later for breakfast even though they confirmed the time the night before. There were boxes lying everywhere and the advertised restaurant doesn't operate every evening and cannot accommodate vegetarians.
It is difficult to get a taxi here, they cancel sometimes if they see the Hutong location. We got dropped off far from the hotel when the taxi refused to continue further - this was at night and not pleasant. Last but not least, we found the property expensive compared to proper 5 star hotels, which we had been staying at prior to this stay.

Perfect atmospheric hotel for a trip to Beijing in comfortable proximity to the Forbidden City.
Pros:

The room was gorgeous perfectly set in the lovely courtyard. The staff is outstanding, particularly Jess and Frank, who made my stay extraordinary.

Cons:

Small thing: the protective cover of the lobby detracts a little from the overall beauty of the location. I'm sure there would have been a solution more fitting in style and period.

Pros:

Very nice place. Great staff, willing to help with everything. We had a phone stolen at the Summer Palace and the hotel made calls to the police station for us, and even sent a staff member to the police station to accompany us.

Stunning hotel in the historic Hutongs of Beijing
Pros:

Absolutely stunning hotel in the historic Hutongs of Beijing. Our flight arrived quite late so we arranged with the hotel for a car to pick us up from the airport. I highly recommend this service as they were extremely kind and knew exactly the location of the hotel. As it is in the Hutong, which is a series of narrow streets and alleys not all taxis can drive to the front door. I ended up bookmarking the shop on the corner of the main street for taxis to drop me off (Cheese Home (Dongsi Branch) Dongsi, Dongcheng Qu, Beijing Shi China 100006). The breakfast was a great edition. The rooms and bed where very large and beautiful with Salvatore Ferragamo products. No need to bring a power converter as all the plugs in the room are international. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help my partner and myself, we needed to withdraw some cash and had to find a bank that would accept our non-Chinese card and they called to make sure they could accommodate us! Would definitely recommend this Hotel.

A small silent corner of paradise
Pros:

A small silent corner of paradise in a chaotic city.
The front desk staff was very friendly and the service was great, we asked the breackfast at 6am to get to the airport in time, everything was delicious and in perfect hours. The metro station is very close and you can even go out in the evenings with extreme tranquility.
A small hutong, the inner courtyard with red fish pots is very pretty. I would highly recommend this hotel.
